Hello,
"Work at Home Dad" here. I have been working from home for about 2 years now, and was dabbling with online businesses since 2001. I use multiple streams. Not really what I call a living income (that goodness the wife makes great money), but it is enough to make the car payment, groceries, and other necessities.

Hi Alex, I stand in awe of you, I tried staying home with the kids about 2 years ago and found myself ...shall we say, lacking in "what it takes" to put it shortly they drove me up a wall Love'em to death, but I just couldn't do it.
Just out of curiosity what business(es) are you involved in?

Quoting: alexant I use multiple streams
I also am a full time stay at home dad and my wife is a full time stay at home mom.
When we first got started working from home a couple of years ago I was working a full time job.I thought that multiple streams of income sounded like a good thing,However after a lot of failure and research we have found that you find your niche then give that one niche your full focus.
Having said that I do believe there are a few people that do make money with multiple streams of income, however there's a differnce between making money and a full time income and beyond.
My advice is to do your research and find something thats legit.and go for it.Go for it and never look back other then to learn from your mistakes.

I have done some research, made the mistakes others have made. Is affiliate marketing truly the way to go? Trying to confirm from others before I jump in full force!

Hi bbeard,
Affiliate marketing is ONE of the ways to go. It's one of the most popular ways because it is probably one of the easiest methods to start an online business without having to put out a lot of money for products, etc.
You don't have to worry about handling stock, shipping, etc. Those are some of the advantages.
I started out with affiliate marketing and recommend it as a great way to get started. I'm really glad I have learned this new skill. I learn more and more as I go along, but I would still start with affiliate marketing if I had it to do all over again. I love it.
Blessings, Angie

Hey happywife,
Great to have you back! I hope your trip was fun :)
bbeard: I agree with happywife; affiliate marketing is one of the best income streams and it's nice to not have to stock or ship products. Furthermore, you don't have to worry about customer service in so far as handling anything related to shipping, refunds, complaints, etc.
It pays better than most approaches. Even so, I'd suggest diversifying your income sources by also implementing an ad network such as Adsense. You can monitor each stream over time to see which to keep and which to throw. Sometimes both are worth keeping.

Thank You to happywife and Newbie Shield for your confirmation on my decision. It helps to have that input. I am a very conservative person to begin with, and have made some mistakes in the past trying to make a go in something other then my present career and occupation. Looking forward to working this business and program. I choose MOIS from everything that I have read, it looks to be a good place for me to start.

Much success to you bbeard!
I agree that affiliate marketing is a good way to go - and there are so many ways to do it.
Anything that you can market thru the internet by directing traffic to your websites is the way to go if you ask me - I can do it at midnight if I want (actually I do most of my computer stuff in the early morning before my 5 kids get up - lol)
Then the only personal contact you need to make are the people that contact YOU...whether it is about your business or products or just plain questions about the everything in general!
Have fun!

I think all of us Dads are looking for a way to create the life that we want for our families. The life where all the bills are paid and there's still money left over at the end of the month, to pay for college, weddings, go on exotic vacations. Wouldn't it be nice to travel the world with your kids, that's priceless education, I know because I did it with my family, I'll never forget those days.
You know what though, the first thing we have to do as Dads is make sure that we have God in our lives. Everything just seems to fall into place when your right with Him. I'm not ashamed to tell people that and you shouldn't be either. Who do you think makes all this possible for us?
Once we are straight with that, only then can we really appreciate what we have in front of us. Use the Internet as a tool to help you gain what it is your looking for, wheather time freedom, financial freedom, or whatever it might be. We all have an opportunity to do some real good things and this is giving us an opportunity to do so. Take care everyone, God Bless

how do you do your car payments/groceries money?
I've just started with the Profit Lance, but it seems that it does not work too nice in the beginning.
Today I made 48 cents only. It's something, than nothing. And I know I'll get better. It might be just a matter of time?
Thank you!
