Welcome Andy!

So what is your partner doing? What keeps you from doing whatever they are doing?

Just curious,that's all...

There are quite a few different methods of making money from home represented thru the forum here - so don't be afraid to ask if you see something that interests you...

Hi Andy,

It's extremely difficult to find data entry/emailing that ISN'T a scam. I really wouldn't bother.

If you aren't looking to learn to build an online web business or tackle affiliate marketing, etc., you may be able to pick up a few dollars by using Amazon's Mechanical Turk.

Basically, you complete tasks given by the requesters and get paid a set amount per task. It could be something as simple as commenting on some blogs, or reviewing a product that you already own.

It pays peanuts, really, but if you practice, you can get pretty quick at it and make several dollars per hour.

It's definitely not as profitable in the long run as biting the bullet and learning to build an online business, but it will provide some extra bucks to contribute to the household income.

There are also freelance sites that you can sign up to and write articles for people, etc., if you feel that your English grammar and punctuation skills are adequate.

Blessings,
Angie

Hi Andy,

I think building a family tree is a good idea! I've seen websites like that. It's a lot of hard work, lot of research, don't you think?

If you're looking for data entry/emailing positions, that's actually one of the various tasks of Affiliate marketing. Data entry can be done brainlessly like entering numbers in the appropriate field. But if writing blogs, putting posts online, writing in forums like these, answering emails are considered data entry smartly because you put words together in the appropriate field, then you should go for affiliate marketing! It consists of promoting a website or a service which means using any method possible.

Unless you are really looking for a job-at-home... not a business opportunity. They are harder to find but there are. It depends on your previous experience.

Hope this helps.

PS. Feel free to contact me if you want to develop that idea of yours.

Google "affiliate programs" or better yet pick a subject that you might be interested and then Google it with affiliate programs added.

Like model trains?... Google "model train affiliate program"... of course this is just an example but it will get you started.

Clickbank is a network that offers products you can promote for a commission. This is just one of many.

Google "affiliate networks" and the results will give you an idea of whats out there.

Be sure to come back to this forum and check out the affiliate programs against what is said here.

If you are wanting to learn how to be an affiliate marketer then I would suggest joining an affiliate marketing course or school.

Guess what I am going to say next!

Google "affiliate marketing school" or affiliate marketing course" then research your results before making a purchase.

And again this forum and its members should be consulted to get a 2nd opinion.

Hi Andrea,

I'm not familiar with the company "regal" you are referring to so I can't give you many tips for that. What is involved in the business?

There are some basic things that apply to most any online business that you may start. You'll go the farthest, in my opinion, by building your own website around a topic you enjoy (related to the products you intend to promote) and go from there.

There are right ways and wrong ways to build a successful site. I learned how to do it the "right way" by using the program called SiteBuildIt (SBI). There's a lot to learn, but they lay it out in the best method I've seen.

Building an online business doesn't bring in money quickly. You really have to be willing to put in a lot of effort and several months of work up front before you really start to see some decent results.

If you're not willing to do that, you are almost doomed to disappointment and failure. But, if you are willing, the sky's the limit.

If you have specific questions, feel free to ask and we may be better able to help you.

Blessings,
Angie

I am also new to work at home and the above quote from Happywife really sums it up. There is no fast way to get rich and if a program offers this be very wary. The best advice I could give you is do your research and plenty of it.
Forums like this one are a good place to start.

good luck.
