WHAT ARE YOU FRUSTRATED ABOUT

Ive been posting pretty regularly in this thread and have noticed that im just really puting out my thoughts about frustration over and over. I want to change my actions a bit. I really want to hear what frustrations you directors have so myself and the rest of the directors here can help you.

There are so many talented directors here. By talented I dont just mean those that make "x" sales a week. Talent is much deeper than that. So many of us have real world experience that is priceless to us all. Of course its important to make sales as we are in business but too much has been put on the monetary aspects of Coastal. Ive met millionaires in Coastal that are horrible directors and ive met people that make 1 sale a month and are incredible. So if you dont make alot of sales a month dont feel you dont have something to share.

Lets hear from anyone that is frustrated and then as a group lets all do our best to help them. I open myself to any frustrated directors. First let me mention that this is not to "steal" you from your director but rather to add any experience I have to help you with the greater good of taking your business to the next level.

You can contact me through the IM feature our administrator Vishal has created or better yet post your frustration here and let the group help you out.

Here's a frustration I have and I want to just put it out there to everyone. I'm really not looking for an answer....I believe I already know the answer....but, if you've got something GREAT to add....go for it.

When it come to the training and support that's available to all of us I'm SO, SO frustrated at the folks who just don't plug in. Here's what I mean. Everyone here knows we have conference calls and training call but so few from this forum actually attend the calls and state their Name and State.

So, I'm going to encourage each here to step out this week and just state your Name and State on the calls. Attend the trainings and Plan now for the Orlando event. I'd love to meet each of you that I've not already met and see those I've met again in Orlando. From the info I'm getting so far this WILL be the best event yet.

Hello Everyone!

I'm new to this thread and have read some of the good the bad and the ugly on this thread. I really do believe that most work from home opportunities work, if in fact you work them. Some of the stuff out there however are just scams and a waste of time. What I believe is that most people that join a program do so without really doing enough research on what it really takes to build a particular opportunity.

I have been there and done that believe me. The most frustrating issues that most people come across is the fact that they are basically lured into an opportunity with lots of hype and promises, and when they finally join, they are left out like a fish out of water without any direction or any idea on what they have to do to succeed.

Most people need to see results RIGHT AWAY or they will most likely disappear and eventually quit the opportunity. That is why it is very important to really make sure you know what you are getting into, how much time the opportunity will take to accomplish your personal goals and ultimately feeling very confident that you can teach others how to do the same.

That is a very important point because some people simply cannot or do not want the responsibility of teaching others what they have learned. When there are uplines that could be the missing link, it is very important that the depth of the upline help is sufficient just in case the immediate sponsor cannot help out for whatever reason.

My main point here is this, when you feel you are ready to start a home based opportunity, make sure you check out the entire system if there is one, and make sure that the people that bring you in get you into profit ASAP. The worse feeling a new business partner can experience is having to go at it by his/her self right out of the gate. Idealy the newest business partner should be learning the new opportunity while the person and their upline that brought him/her into the business builds the foundation for them and gets them into profit RIGHT AWAY.

That folks gets people motivated and very effective because they see results right away, they are in profit and when its time for them to explain the opportunity they do not have to be dishonest while explaining the opportunity to others. In alot of cases people ask "how are you doing in that business" or "how much money have you made so far". When your sponsors help to create for you a solid foundation and get you into profit within the first 30 days or less, its easy to explain to others your success with a very confident and clear consious. People can feel your energy in most cases and know if you are being honest or not.

Hope this helps!

I agree with what you are saying, Thor. No question the "Paying it Forward" concept is huge in network marketing. It is not just about your own sales- it is also about helping your downline succeed!

Those out here who have frustration within Coastal specific are sticking there neck out , here on the forum. I have frustrations and very much identify with much that has been said thus far. Also been PM 'ed by members that just do not know what to do. They are concerned to voice themselves you know. Just what will happen to us when our upline reads these things etc? Its all going on behind the sceens in private. I say lets find a way to HELP , and in doing so will dispell the negitive.
One specific thing that I would tell prospective new members in coastal or those left behind by an upline is:

Get references, ask the director for there references from sales
Talk to 3 in there group. Never believe anything without varifying
If they are new , then they should state this and not be leading them along with a grand success story.
A good business has this upfront. We should not have to ask. but not all directors are created equal, and there are 100's of offshoots
with Coastal that are practicing this business freely as they choose.
This looks like a confusiing mess to new people , at least to those who do a simple thing called googling. This business is not Step 1 ,Step 2,Step 3 and your in the money . Try this on for frustration
15K - 7 months - 0 sales.

D - it can be - and should be taught as such.

You are 100% right. New - and not new for that matter - need to focus on one marketing approach and perfect that before shot gunning and doing ALL the things and ways there are to market CV. This is true in any direct sales business.

New people do not have the time - since I assume they are also working a real job / and or have other things like children that prohibit time spent - to be learning everything all at once.

One last thing I believe. Those that do well know it takes bucks to operate any business. Those that tell people otherwise to make a sale - are con artists. And all the claims of making "6 figures" in 10 days or something like that are also cons. If all that were true, the economy would collapse as 100% of people in the USA would quit and do CV.

But these "crooks" are in all business - CV does not have any more than any other. In fact I have met more honest people in CV than other industries I have been associated with.

If you want to call or Email me - you may not like what you hear, but I'll be blunt.

Just to bring things full circle, this post is for frustrated Coastal Reps. There is one thing that rings true and that is get back to basics. The easiest way to get back to basics is to get on a call. Each of our respective groups have their own call schedules, and there is also the Official Coastal Call schedule. Get on one, ask the questions you have and you will get the answers from the proverbial horses mouth. If you don't know the product educate yourself. How do you expect to be successful if you don't know what you are selling? I would be frustrated as well. Get back to basics. IF you are uncomfortable calling leads GET OVER IT, buy 1000 garbage leads for a few bucks and TRY. What happens next will amaze you. You will find that talking to different people about something that you believe in comes easy after a while. The different groups have different scripts, review them, find one that you are comfortable with and get to it. You are the only one who can change your situation. Remember the motto: Change nothing and nothing will change.

Best Wishes for the Holiday Season

I hate making back to back posts but the thread is about frustrated reps. If you are frustrated and reading this GET ON A CALL. Its Wed and at NOON you can listen to a pro make calls. That should help you become more comfortable on the phone. At 3PM there is a product training call.

Turn your frustration into positive action and DO something about it. Educate yourself

Just a bit of reflection and hopefully inspiration for those of you that are feeling a bit frustrated... There is much very good advice on this thread, and I would like to add my small share.

In the past few days, there has been a few major events in my business. I have released 2 brand new L3 Directors!!! Both of these ladies have had major challenges in their respective businesses. Also, one of my team members who lost her sister on the weekend has 2 sales coming in towards her L2 release, and another 2 brand new associates- just out of their phase 2 training have completed one training sale each respectively with several very good additional prospects they have been working with. Its been a very busy, most satisfying and joyful week- and its NOT even over yet!! Also, to date- it has been the highest grossing week in my business since I started on September 14, 2006.

The 2 ladies that are newly released- have had to grow, learn and perservere over the past 2 and 3 months respectively. BUT THEY DID IT!!! Both of them, each- also have profit sales coming in over the next week. I can not express to you, as their director- how utterly rewarding it is to see people SUCCEED, sometimes seemingly against the odds- to launch their new business successfully, ethically and powerfully. Pierre and I are so very proud of each and every one of our team members. We both agree that the real reward in this business is guiding and mentoring others, and watching them change and grow- seemingly before our eyes. We believe that they are called "training sales" for that reason- there is training involved. Not only technical and practical training- but the training of ONESELF, and the development and expression of each individuals unique talents and potentials.

On a personal note- I have been crying and shaking with utter joy all morning! THANK-YOU UNIVERSE!!! I'm a very sensitive person, and my partner Pierre jokes to me often- saying I have to buy stock in kleenex tissue because I make such frequent use of it when feeling joy.

In my experience- the true reward in this business comes in helping others. The money is a result, but not the most valuable reward. This is a people business- and if you truly love people- it is the most wonderful place to be, here with Coastal Vacations.

If you are someone who is in phase 1 or 2 of your business- and working on your release or your first few profit sales.... please know and understand, deeply within the faith of yourself- that you CAN do it too! This business is real, it works.. and if you are diligent in learning and growing- remain coachable and consistent- you WILL be successful.

Again, in my experience... when you feel that you are having barriers or obstacles to your success- know that not only is it one of the "murphys committee" members trying to get you to turn back- but that it MEANS you are about to have a BREAKTHROUGH and experience the success your faith desires. Know that you can DO it, you DESERVE it- and learn and do whatever it takes to MAKE IT HAPPEN!

(if you are not familiar with "Murphys Committee" I will highly recommend the CD/Mp3 of the same name by Jerry "D'Rhino" Clark.. I have found it available right now as one of the many bonuses for purchasing Chris Wideners new book "The Angel Inside". That book is going for under $11 plus reasonable s&h at amazon.com- I just looked, there is a link through his site that explains all of the details- great deal, I am picking it up myself to add to my "to do" reading... check it out at www dot chriswidener dot com What a great way to start or add to your personal development- and at very reasonable cost.)

Your business WILL only grow as much as YOU do. I see the proof on a weekly basis.... KNOW this: if you started your business because you saw the power and believed in the product and business model of Coastal Vacations- you have it within your to make your dreams reality.

Onwards and Upwards,

In gratitude, With Faith, and Seeking to Contribute to your Prosperity;

Jani Teeter

Hi Guys!

I'm so sorry, I just realized the link for that Chris Widener book special I was telling you about is actually a hidden backlink...

To see that offer and find out if you would like to take advantage, please type this into your browser, as you will not be able to find it from his main site...

www dot chriswidener dot com slash(/) angelinside dot asp

I actually give that Murphys Committee to all new team members, as well as The 7 Pillars, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, and The Secret. A few others as well, depending on from what I know about that person to date that I feel would be personally valuable to them! I also particularily like Brian Tracy's "Psychology of Acheivement" but it is quite a time investment, especially when also learning new business skills and acumen.

Cheers

Jani

If you are a frustrated director then the place to be is on a live Coastal Vacations Business Call. Hearing the business broken down as well as hearing testimonies is enough to motivate anyone. Your next step is to read through all of the great info here on this forum. There are leaders from all the major groups as well as tons of independent directors that share their knowledge on a daily basis.

After hearing and reading the motivation then get back on the phone or go place some ads or talk to people. However you promote your business just do it as Nike says. If you are frustrated I say you take the past and just throw it away. You cant get it back so dont live in the past anymore. Live in the moment planning for the future.

The way to get rid of frustration is to get moving. Action takes care of the blues. Change your attitude. I look at anyone that hangs up on me or says this business isnt real or fails to just look at it as they missed out. Think of this package. We travel for rock bottom prices. We make $1000 - $9705 commissions. What could be better. This is the most incredible business there is. The start-up cost is so low as you are getting a lifetime of vacations for your start-up fee. Then you have no overhead. No employees ,no shelves to stock or inventory to order. What could be better?

Frustration can be overcome with action and changing your attitude. Have I ever been frustrated? Of course I have. But I use my frustration to motivate me. What are you going to do with your frustration?

People need to understand that Coastal is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It is a BUSINESS, so you need to treat it like a business and you will bear good fruits!
