Good Morning All!
I have come across a lot of information on this forum with regards to leads, however I have not been able to find the sepecific information I was looking for. Prior to spending any money I wanted to ask all of those who are currently using leads to grow their business the following questions:
1) Which source do you obtain your leads from (e.g. self marketing/promoting, purchased through a company, etc.)?
2) If purchased through a company which company do you use?
3) What type of leads to you find you have had the most success with? (e.g. Coastal Movie Leads, Premium Coastal Leads, Coastal Leads, Interviewed Leads, etc)?
4) How much on average do you spend monthly on leads?
5) Are leads the best way to go to build your business when starting?
Thanks for all of the information and for your assistance!

When it comes to leads, MOST are created equal....but the ONLY way to find out is to test them.
I've been using the ones from coastal budget leads dot com for some time now. They run 85 cents - 66 cents and get equal results to paying $5 per lead from CEM.

Thanks for the tip Jay ~ those prices sound good to me I realize that you typically get what you pay for, however starting out a first I'd like to build some equity in my business prior to spending to much $$.

Great question Stephanie. Leads are a great way to run your business. Many of the people that are in this forum started out in that manner. Now using leads entails a few things. First you have to get proficient on the phone in connecting with people. That is key. As for cost I believe a lead is a lead is a lead. I also want to have as many leads as possible for my dollar. I use a leads program with a vendor in our package. They are the vendor that supplies the carnival and royal caribbean cruises as well as the disney vacations and the bahamas cruise and stays. That should give you an idea of who im talking about. Alot of speculation has been made about if these leads are any good and I can say they are . I just signed a new team member up yesterday using these 40,000 leads that I pay $299 a month for.
As for other advertising there are many methods. Most of the people that post talk about many of them. I have seen a big push on the WEB 2.0 scene. There is alot of opportunity there and its very cheap as well. I have begun doing alot of that myself.
Now are leads the best way to run your business is a loaded question. For many it is the only way and that can create issues if you dont balance your business. Id say you need to have a heart to heart game plan interview with your director and find out the best use of your skills, your budget and time. Make a plan and follow it.
Hope that helps.
Adam

Hi Adam, thanks for the additional info! I have not yet received my package so I don't yet know who the different vendors are. I had no idea though that leads could be purchased from them ~ that sounds like another great source!
With regards to WEB 2.0, my apologies if this is a silly question, but what is it?
Thanks again, Steph

There are many COASTAL VACATIONS leads programs.
CEM is one of the largest leads supplier and the MOST TRUSTED in the industry. Check them out.
Actually my splash page gets me targeted leads whch are the best ones you can get because you generated those leads yourself.
Make certain you have a good autoresponder to contact the leads.
Hope this helps
Terri

Hi Garyd,
I'm wondering the same things, which ones are 'better'. I think I would rather spend my time and $$ focusing on Coastal specific leads rather than generic leads, however I don't know which ones I should try...
How does the MOL Lead Genie work? How much $$ for how many?

On the BOD live lead call today they were using the Premium Coastal Leads from that site. I was only on the call for a few minutes as it was my time to call leads myself. The 1st person he called remembered Coastal Vacations.
Oh if you follow Dani Johnson I heard her video leads are very good - earnproleads dot com

hi sas78 i think they were 3-4$ a piece. they had diff choices. real time phone verified etc. i just spoke to cem and they have choices also, but they seem much more involved in our biz. i would go with cem if i had to choose. some are a bit more $, but the prospect has gone thru much more of a qualifying process, so it maybe worth it.on another note i hear alot of good things with contact mate, besides its bugs. is it something that is worth it ,if i have an autoresponder in my b/o with wcys/is there a big diff?i need a system that keeps going because in wcys b/o when the autoresponder emails are done you have to enter them one by one again to get them back on the a/r system, unless i am wrong and someone can tell me an easier way to keep them receiving emails thanks garyd

Hi Garyd,
Thank you for the additional info!
I am with CSG and the b/o system that we use for auto responder e-mails is great! I have dropped my own contact info into the pipeline to see what my prospects will be getting and when ~ the messages are regular but not 'too much' if you know what I mean...

I don't think I would repeat the same autoresponder campaign by re-entering the email addresses on the opt in page. Sounds extremely labor intesive, not to mention they will just be getting a repeat of what they already have. You would be better off emailing all site opt ins - you can do that with one click - and create your own personalized campaign. Doesn't have to be too fancy, but just something to keep coastal in their inbox. Until they opt out, they are a viable lead.
I am doing a big contactmate campaign right now. Lots of leads and I have created my own campaign. My site optins are not part of that.
