I just wanted to ask this question to community members. Is that the money, or the extra sale you get one day, or the extra boost in your adsense earnings or the love of your wife or the smile of your child.
[OR]
Any thing else that makes you happy. Please share it across.
Sam

All the above, plus good health and the freedom to do many of the other things that I enjoy.

Number one is my husband. He is the best there is for me and second is seeing a sale I have made. It sends a great sense of accomplishment.

Whatever joy you get from material things and is short lived. Actually you cannot call it joy as such. They are such pleasures. No amount of money can make you laugh as hard as when you crack jokes among your friends or the joy of being together with your relatives or anything dealing with emotions.
From spiritual perspective, you can be really happy and joyful only when you work more and more from your heart. Or in other words, you feel more. Sadly we have become thinking machines and have disconnected ourselves from our heart. Therefore we don't seem to find real joy in anything we do. When you stop thinking and start feeling, you'll start experiencing real happiness.

Spending a summer evening with friends or family in nature, relaxing, having some drinks and a nice chat. What more could you want after a hard work day? And I agree, it ain't the material things that count, not at all.

jeffathome: Nothing beats the smile of your child. I totally agree and when he laughs my heart just melts. My little one is 15 months and to see him happy brings me joy.
And of course my husband, whom is my best friend and I just love with all my heart and soul.
Each day I give thanks for them and our health and wellness.
The sound of the ocean, seeing the water, how the sun's light shines through my kitchen window during supper time.
Reading a book with coffee outside, my cats purring, going for drives with my family and discovering new scenery, cuddling one the couch with hubby watching a movie or tv show.

Many answers here are interesting one. I call it as the perception of a person. Some feels better when it comes to money and some call it as friends and for some husband / family.
My final words: At the end of the day human value matters and not money...

Of course my family makes me happy, but I also get a fuzzy feeling when I help someone. Whether I feel it's a small gesture or not, I think that feeling is the best.

Lately; I love time in the forest, at the sea and most of all - time to quiet my mind...I love watching my little ones sleep..they are so beautiful and peaceful.
Even though I am spiritual, a Metaphysical Sciences student, I love the stillness of a church.
On the flip side, I love Twitter , Internet Marketing, and the technology to be in communication with ...spiritual beings online!

I can't be at rest without peace of mind, so that's a contributing factor. But with that in place, little things like the sun's warmth on my skin (it's a real biggie... so much so that I've lived without winter for years now). And these days, when people leave comments on my blog saying they found what I wrote useful. Um hmm, I like the feeling of knowing that the time I spend is adding value (even a little value) to someone's day. That's outside of cyberspace too of course, but like NS, I spend tonnes of time online usually, so must be noted

Being able to work at home full time online after years of struggling and trying to make it online is what makes me happy.
Helping others directly and indirectly is great too.
