Hello everyone, I stumbled upon this website and have looked through quite a few of the forums - looks like there is lots of information to be shared here! I have somewhat of a unique situation. I am currently in the military (as is my husband), but I will be getting out next summer (August '12). My husband will have just under a year left in the military, and we will be living in Germany. I'll be working on finishing up my bachelor's in Business Management / Finance, and would love to be able to work as well - but our base in Germany does not have many positions available for civilians. Any suggestions or ideas as to work I could do from home while overseas? I love math, writing and reading, and am a pretty fast typer. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thank you!! Aislinn

Hi Aislinn,
Lovely to have you join us. You do have a unique situation, don't you. Of course, there's always the old stand by "sell baked goods" to your fellow military personnel on the base in Germany as a way to make some extra money over there. I don't know how costly and accessible the ingredients would be, but sometimes the simplest answer is the best.
However, based on your skills as self-described, I think you have the potential to build yourself a successful online business while you are patiently waiting for your husband to finish his time in the service.
You can build a theme based website on a subject that interests you. It might revolve around math skills or something else entirely.
The fact that you enjoy reading, writing, and typing puts you in a great position. All you have to do is learn the basic elements of successful site building and online marketing and you'll fly if you put the effort in.
You can earn money from a website in so many different ways. You don't even have to sell your own products if you don't want to or don't have anything to begin with. You can earn money from affiliate promotions (recommending other people's products and earning a commission on sales), Google Adsense income, advertising for others, offering a service, etc. That's just for starters.
My husband and I are missionaries in Australia, and this is what I do in my spare time. I love it! It's also been a nice little money maker to supplement our financial needs.
The money doesn't come right away, but once you've done the groundwork, you can do well.
Blessings, Angie

I would look further into network marketing especially online.
The nice part about many MLM companies online is that they do all the selling for you and closing. You don't have to call leads or anything like that and still earn a very nice income online.
