Hey everyone
first off im a contractor at a local plant, its an ok job and i have no complaints i was just thinking of having a stay at home job with better hours and what not
i am pretty good with computers and a pretty good student anything i put my mind to i can handle (videogame and computer nerd >.<)
i hear on the forums alot about affiliate marketing being a good at home job, a lot better than surveys and MLM
any one care to help me get started, its just idk where to start

You best bet would be to work on something on the side while you still have your contractor job at the plant. That way you could try out different ways to market the products you are interested in and find a way that you will enjoy and possibly make some money and see if you are able to replace your income.
The thirty day challenge has a lot of information on how to get started and its free.

I agree with Rebecca.
Start an affiliate business on the side and keep your day job until you are making good income online.
It will take some time but if you take action, you will succeed.
Don't forget that you will need to invest money too in this.

You said you're good with games? I think you have an advantage in a very lucrative market.
Go to clickbank's market place and search for products about games. As a gamer yourself you can evaluate those guides better than a nerd like myself, then write a review about the best one you find, publish it either on your own website or use a free service like squidoo and hubpages and recommend buying that product through your affiliate link (you get it from clickbank, sign up for an account if you don't have one yet), then change your review a bit and publish it on article directories like ezinearticles with a link in your biobox (you'll know what it is when you get there) pointing to your squidoo or hubpage.
This is affiliate marketing in the simplest form (a summary of the bum marketing method).
The 30 challenge is also good (I heard), one week marketing is awesome, if you can afford Gauher Chaudry's material that will be a great next step, and if you want to take it to the business level go for Rich Shafren's strategic business building coaching program.

Totally agree.... gaming is a great niche to be in if you know what you're talking about... and you apparently would.
I had tried it but know next to nothing about gaming so I left it for someone else.

I'm sure you have seen these million dollar Gurus, telling you how to make all this easy money over night doing nothing, but using there Secret System. -- NOT! -- Not for me any way.
Get as much free information as possible. There are free Ebooks, video's and Bloggs.
Do your research, read and study, write all your ideas in a notebook, and create a plan.
Above all don't get discourage, you must be persistence and keep working.
Don't stop until your first sale. -- After that I think you'll be Hooked!!
