Hello, everyone. I found this site through a friend on an unemployed advocacy board.
My wife and I live on a sailboat; it's all we have left after losing the house and cars. We love it, though, and would not go back to living ashore.
She makes money as a freelance technical writer. I used to work in the defense industry, but now I fix boats. I'm trying to find ways to work at home more and make extra money online. I have a Bachelors from NYIT and I was Navy electronics tech, but now I really enjoy just working on boats--our own and other peoples'.
I will be checking in daily to get a feel for this board. Looking forward to meeting new people and sharing information and advice.

SailorTrash: I really enjoy just working on boats--our own and other peoples'. Sounds like one of my son-in-laws, loves fixing boats for fun and profit. He's getting his CAT certs now so he can work on the big(BIG) engines. You can make bucks locating and listing boats for non computer users. Also finding bargain boats to fix and flip for a handsome profit. Or just advertising for charter tours and repair shops. There is plenty of money to be made in boats. Some as simple as posting a craigslist ad.

For the Short Terms I recomend checking out Fiverr.com and for the long term I recommend investing into affiliate marketing (rediculously small investment). I think that will be a more profitable long terms venture. Though fiverr will get you some quick cash.

For your long term success, I do recommend you get into MLM online. Now, I am not referring to contacting people or anything like that. I am referring to a company that lets you advertise an opt in page and letting the system do the selling for you.
I personally do not recommend getting into affiliate programs that let's the owner get more and more affiliates from their customers. That way you are building their financial future and not yours.
