What everyone says here is great-but I just a side comment from someone in sales and marketing - don't spam people and request a chat from people you don't know! Skype, MSN messenger, Yahoo Messenger-whatever the means. Watch out because it gives you a look of being a scammer. Good luck in your business people!

Hey all.
I recently got all three signed directors releases from an acquaintence. I have a couple questions.
1.) Will I be able to order using these, given that I do not own any packages currently.
2.) Im guessing Im on my own then, when it comes to support groups.

I see you have been hearing some positive thing. Now hear the negative ones.
Most of their ads on line say, "No Cold Calling !". My experience was nothing but that. All their system does is send out automated emails as reminders and with email systems like Yahoo and Hotmail, those emails end up in the junk mail anyway.
The idea of CSG is good but their product is anything but that. I too was on cloud 9 that this will be the last job I'll have and that I will retire after this. It became a nightmare trying to arrange a trip for myself. Their affiliates would not fulfill for them which would have to be reported to the CSG management so they can find someone else. You don't get to take a good look at their product until it's too late. All of the money exchanged is with money orders or certified checks. Need I say more ? I tried to find a place in Hawaii and all they had was a 1 star resort. Only one for all of the hawaiian islands !! They have $1000 shopping sprees that you purchase for $6.95. When you go on line, they say the item is free but you pay for shipping and handling when you can actually buy the same item thru someone else for lessINCLUDING S+H. Their gas cards, car rental, etc, COMPLETE JOKE !! I have no idea how the hell they could be making the money they are claiming in all of their webcasts and advertisements selling a product like this. My package is now in the garage collecting dust and for the hawaii trip I am dealing with a travel agent. I find it to be a complete waist of my 1300 dollars.

Hi there,
I've been researching Coastal for about 2 weeks, checked BBB and the whole nine yards. Everything seems to come out clean so I am getting closer to making the jump onboard. After searching out different potential directors, I stumbled across one that displayed "proof" of some checks he had received. Those checks were paid out by a company called Clear Business Solutions. I noticed on the BBB site that there was one complaint against this company in the past 36 months and that the owner of the company failed to respond to the complaint. Now given that you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time, I didn't let that discourage me in my due diligence but it really confuses me when it comes down to how you get paid in this company. After reading all the threads in this forum, I understand that you get paid by the customer or new client, not the company, so if that is true, why are all the directors checks made out by a company. Please help me understand so I can get on with what's important, like signing up to Coastal. Thanks

Oh yea, I almost forgot. In doing my due diligence with Coastal, I also have seen that there is a $700 charge for a "Call Center". An automated closing system that does all the selling for you. You just have to run 4 line ads and let the Call Center take over. Can someone please tell me if this is a legit system and is this system approved by Coastal Synergy Group? Can it be trusted and is it being accpted by all or just a few. Thanks.

Latonact,
I'm sorry to hear that you haven't enjoyed your experieince with Coastal, but I find your assessment a tad bit unfair in regard to your claim about booking in Hawaii.
May I ask you, did you ever send in your activation form to receive your cards? Or did you purely try to book from one of the vouchers? I have never activated a voucher for myself, but can say that the website through which you can make arrangements with your card offers WAY more than just one place to stay for the Hawaiian Islands and they range from 2 star to 5.
I'm sure this is a long shot given your opinion of Coastal already, but if you want to try a different automated marketing approach to Coastal, look me up. The group that I work with offers Personal Marketing Assistants to make your calls, 2 autoresponder sets (one for website opt ins and another for people who actually request to speak with your PMA), etc.

Hi Larry,
I believe you must be the same Larry that I answered a few question for yesterday. I'll take a stab at these questions for you as well.
Clear Business Solutions is the company through which THIS Coastal Call Center is run (there is more than 1 Coastal Call Center actually). It appears that the way the call center works is that they accept the payments from new buyers and then cut the seller credited with that sale a check for their commission afterwards.
Quoting: UncleLarry Oh yea, I almost forgot. In doing my due diligence with Coastal, I also have seen that there is a $700 charge for a "Call Center". Yes, the call center is an additional $700 fee. Basically, you would be given a phone number and extension code to put in your advertising. If someone is interested in buying from you, they would make the phone call with your extension and would have their questions answered by call center personnel and would also be sent more information.
My issue with the call center is that there is no "accountability". You are not entirely kept in the loop on whether you have an interested buyer or anything, you just sit back and wait for checks. The call center reps answering are Coastal members as well, so who is to say that there may not be "dirty dealings" behind the scenes? That was actually my reasoning for not joining with the call center.... I like to be informed of what is going on with my prospective clients every step of the way.
I hope that helps, Larry. Good luck with your search for the perfect Coastal business fit for yourself.
Regards,
Christy

I am deeply interested in CSG, and i am sold on the idea already, althought, i am slightly discouraged that i have to wait 2-3 months to purchase the level one or 2 deal due to the fact that i have little money at the moment.
I want to ask:
1. How realistic is it to get the 2 trainee sales and 2 sales in the first 2 weeks of starting my own CSG business?
2. What expenses should i expect in the first month of starting up?
3. Advertising is okay, however, there was a message about "no cold calling" what is that all about?
4. I want a director that I can relly on and be sure that they are there for the first two sales.
5. What kind of money is it possible to make in 5 months?
6. Is there any payment or financing plan i can use to purchase the basic level one package????? I REALLY WANT TO JOIN CSG!!!
I have been doing some research, and i am fully commited to join and fully commited to do whatever it takes to do this!
Anyways, if there are any directors on here, can you give me some adivce on this questions?
Thanks.

Wealthy WAHM,
I need to correct some of your info. I am a member of the "We Close Your Sales" call center which is the one you are speaking of. The business name of the call center is Clear Business Solutions and NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES ARE COASTAL MEMBERS. This is simply to ensure to us who use the callcenter that they are NOT stealing our leads. They have no reason to do that since they are not members. They make their commission off of the $700 extra that it cost to join. It's more than that for the upper levels. We have GREAT training on our back office website and being able to offer people who are not great at talking to leads a way to not to have to do that is awesome. All of my sales so far have been made for me before I ever even talked to them except for one time. After the sale is made you dive in and train them. You can still do it the old fashioned way if you choose to do so but using the call center where they have experienced sales people is the way to go in my opinion. After you start making money you will build your confidence and you will like talking to people. As far as not knowing if you have sales or not, the sales associates record notes when they talk to a lead that came from your advertising and you can access those notes in your back office. You will see how the conversation has gone and when they are making a follow up call or if they went ahead and joined. The call center called me to inform me of my first 2 sales and to see how I wanted to get payment. They don't take credit cards so if someone wants to use a credit card then they have to pay you through paypal and as soon as the comfirmation email is sent to you , you tell the guys at the callcenter and they send out the package for you and then you send the call cente a check for their part of the deal. It's a GREAT system and over 1 million dollars in commissions have been made through the call center in less than 18 months. That's pretty darn good. They close about 18% to 22% of all the calls that come in. That's some good ratios. I hope I have cleared up some of the questions.

Well, thanks for clearing that up for me, Harold!
As I had tried to emphasize in my comment, there is more than 1 call center system... My info came from my sponsor's experieince with the call center he was part of and what ended up being the reason for him switching to the Automated System.
Glad to hear that the call center is working out so great for you!
Regards,
Christy

Dear Christy,
Just want to let you know I just signed up for Coastal Vacations under Harold. He has been great and calling me and making sure I understand how the business works and all my questions got answered. I have talked to the Call Center and they are VERY professional and good at what they do. I am looking forward to working with them.
I am a flight attendant so I travel a lot with my job and having the call center close your sales for you is a perfect solution for my busy lifestyle. I read on a board someone had quit Coastal because they spent too much time on the phone answering prospects questions and explaining the business to them. The Call Center will do that all for you. I think it is worth paying them the commission to close your sales, especially if you are not experienced at sales. The sales part is what I dread the most, but once people are signed up, I look forward to helping them become successful. I am not good at pushing people with sales, but maybe with time I can learn to be a better sales person. In the meantime I am happy to have someone else do it for me.
Hope it works out well for you.
Take care,
Susan

I have found this to be a very informative forum. I have been in touch with a Coastal director in the past and I'm impressed that even though I am procrastinating he continued to keep in touch with me for a while.
So as I sit here at work on another Christmas day, away from my family, I have a serious interest in going forward with this. The time I am spending here today is time I can not make up with my wife and kids. Call me greedy, but I don't want to spend another Holiday away from the people that matter the most to me.
I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone or a couple of active Coastal business owners could answer.
1. If I invest in the Platinum Package please explain what I really get. Am I correct in my understanding that I get unlimited 4 day/ 3 night cruise, free?
2. On doing this as a business; with the Platinum Package, would I be a level 3 director after I finish my pass up training sales? Does that mean the first two (2) at each level? OK just me assuming now, if I sign up two level 1 partners, do I have to find two level 2 and two level 3 partners before I can receive a profit from a third level 1 partner signed up?
3. Has anyone taken any trips with their package? I am particularly interested in the cruises? What did you have to pay? The support from the cruise line you selected?
4. Has anyone given away any of their cruises? Did it cost the person you gave it to anything? Have there been any complaints about booking the cruise from that person?
I know this is asking for a lot of information. I am hoping to use this as a multiple income stream business.
Merry Christmas!
Thanks!
Brian

I was looking for an active Director, who would be interested in helping me re-vamp my coastal business. I'm willing to negotiate monetary incentives. Dor you actively promote Coastal in Dallas?

Hi Brian,
I personally can't answer all your questions, but if you call 1-800-378-1169 which is the call center, they can answer all of your questions. You can ask for Hoyt who is the owner. Hope this helps you out. I think you will be pleased with Coastal Vacations.
Good Luck, and keep us posted on what you decide.

Hello everyone,
I haven't been on here in a while, I was taking some holiday time, and this has been a very busy thread!

Lionchild,
I am not in the CSG, but I do believe that they have a payment plan for the basic package. Don't quote me on that please
As far as how realistic it is to make your first two training sales and two sales in the first two weeks - that's a hard one to answer. I don't want to say yes definitely, but I don't want to say absolutely not either.
It HAS been done! There is a lady in our group that qualified out in 4 days. Then there are others who took 6 months. I think the average is about 2 months. It all depends on you. We all have the same package, we all have the same lead vendors, we all have the same support and training, the only difference is you!
Expenses would be the package, advertising, websites, telephone, internet, basic office setup supplies, etc...
As far as the "no cold calling" they are saying that you would get leads that have requested information on working from home, starting a business, or specifically on Coastal Vacations.
As far as a director, ask questions! How well are they able to answer them or how are they at being able to find the answer and get it to you? What about the group they are in? How is the support and training? There are many groups out there. Go to Q&A calls from each group that you are interested in and see what you like and what fits you the best.
These are all great questions! I do know that the CSG has Q&A calls. You should get on there and ask your questions. You will help others out there who are afraid to step out and ask them.
Good luck and God Bless!
Lora

Brian, I would like to answer your questions for you.
Quoting: CarolinaConsign 1. If I invest in the Platinum Package please explain what I really get. Am I correct in my understanding that I get unlimited 4 day/ 3 night cruise, free?
You do get unlimited 4 day/3 night cruises! As far as what else you get - the list is huge! The director that you are talking to should have that information for you. It is also on my website under the travel packages link.
Quoting: CarolinaConsign 2.
Ok Brian, this one depends on the group that you are associated with. Since I don't know who you have been talking to, I will tell you how we do it in the WealthBuilders. According to the Coastal Board of Directors you must have two training sales at your level of entry. The WealthBuilders interpret that to mean two training sales at the level you come on board at. So...if you come in at the platinum level, you will need two training sales at the platinum level to be a released director. In the meantime, any basic or premiere sales that you make would be yours. The profit and the business builder would then be yours to keep/train. (With help of course!)
Quoting: CarolinaConsign 3. Has anyone taken any trips with their package? I am particularly interested in the cruises? What did you have to pay? The support from the cruise line you selected?
I have used my package, but not a cruise yet...I have given some of them away as gifts...
Quoting: CarolinaConsign 4. Has anyone given away any of their cruises? Did it cost the person you gave it to anything? Have there been any complaints about booking the cruise from that person?
Yes! I have given away several of the vacations in my package. Some of them were for raffles for non-profits; some were just gifts to friends. I gave a cruise away to a friend of mine to give to her in-laws and they loved it! They used a Carnival cruise and it cost them about $100 per person for taxes and port charges and all. They upgraded to a better room and there were no complaints. I think they were pleasantly surprised!
Brian, these are all wonderful questions. You should definitely get back to the director that you were talking to. If this is where your heart is then go for it! Get the director to take you to a live Q&A call. You may hear questions you never thought to ask. You will also get to hear from other directors that have been doing this a lot longer than I have and what their experience has been with the vacations.
Happy New Year!
Lora

Lora,
Thank you so much for answering those questions. I am in the process of talking with a Coastal Board of Directors member to ask some more questions.
A quick observation Lora, I think it is very professional the way you answer other peoples questions without trying to recruit them. I have read your responses on this one thread and you are surely a voice of reason.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian,
if you call the call center they will ask you who told you about the call center and ask for a member ID for them. Make sure and give them Susan's Member ID of 3902-SE. This is how we, at the call center keep our leads straight. Susan is brand new and on fire for Coastal and will definately be a leader in this business. I am looking forward to helping her be INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL!

Harold,
Thanks for that bit of information, but as I stated above to Lora I am in the process of having my questions answered by one of the Coastal Board of Directors.
I am excited for Susan and wish her the best of success.
Brian
