I customize my training to each person on my team. It's important that you work with a quality director who is committed to your success.

Hi Guys,
I just saw your posts and wanted to offer my 2cents. I hope that by now all of you have found great directors and are well on your way to earning incomes in Coastal. It truly is an amzing opportunity.
Being a member of the Board of Directors, I hear a lot of complaints from people who have bad directors. Unfortunately, they usually don't *know* they've chosen a bad director until it's too late. There *are* some things you can do, though, to make sure you are getting started with someone with integrity that can truly teach you success. That is, afterall, what you are looking to achieve, right? And you certainly can't learn success from someone who has not learned it themselves. You learn success by duplicating what a successful person does. So careful choice is very important.
I teach all the people I personally train to encourage their prospects to ask for references and to be ready to provide them. That really is the best way to know if someone truly is the mentor you are looking for.... ask other people they have trained and find out more about them personally. Coastal is obviously a real opportunity. You can see proof that the product saves people money. The only real question is if you are getting started with the right director.
We (the Board of Directors) issued a press release last year that gave some tips to choosing the right director and how to avoid the bad ones. You can read it here - http://www.pr.com/press-release/1262 .
Coastal really is the real thing. It has allowed me and my husband to stay home with our 3 kids for almost 7 years and to vacation 12-15 weeks a year for less than most people would spend on just one major vacation. We use our package all the time and really enjoy the freedom we have in Coastal.
I hope all of you choose a great mentor to guide you into your new business with Coastal, and wish you all the success you deserve!

I just came across the Coastal Vacations ad. and I wanted to know from whom ever is already involved in the business exactly how it works. By that I mean the package that you initially purchase. Can you use the package even if you haven't sold any packages to clients yet? It all sounds good, but I am still very leary about giving up money that is very hard earned. I am a single mother of three and can't afford to just lose over a thousand dollars, assuming that I could come up with that amount of money any time soon. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello Roz,
You can absolutely use the package before you start your business. That's actually a very good idea so that you will know first hand how the package works. It's also great because you will be able to tell people about all money you saved using the package!
The level 1 package alone is worth every penny! A friend of mine is getting ready to go on a cruise (the EXACT same cruise is in our package) and her husband paid $1,375 for it. She just about cried when I told her how much less it would have cost her if she had used the package!
About the money, that shouldn't be an issue yet. First you need to get all of the information and see if this is something for you. I can tell you all day long that Coastal Vacations is great. I can tell you dozens and dozens of stories about how Coastal changed people's lives by giving them both time and financial freedom. But, none of that will mater if you don't fully understand what you are looking at and if you don't see a place for yourself with Coastal. So, if you are talking to someone about Coastal, get back in touch with them so that you can get all of the information for yourself!
If I can help answer any more questions for you, please ask!
Sorry that was long winded - I'm pretty passionate about this
Lora

Hi, I also, like many others here, have just came across Coastal Synergy and it seems like an amazing opportunity. I have heard many pros about the business and so far there aren't many cons, other than the start-up fee, which I can understand. However, I have emailed and called a few directors, and so far I am not receiving any calls or emails from any of them. I will not be able to work right away, but I am very seriously interested. Could anyone, WITHOUT trying to " sell ", tell me honestly how they feel about the business, how long it's been around, what to expect, and your own personal experiences with the company--if you're willing. My husband and I have came across MANY of these home-based businesses and have tried a few, but we need something solid. I'm sure many of you can relate and I hope to make a sound, educated decision so as not to get ''caught up'' in something that could potentially be disastrous. Please feel free to email me! I would love to hear anything that could help. Thank you!

Hi Aryn12205,
You probably already know this, but since you have yahoo you may need to check your bulk email. I tell people to check there all the time and I almost never check my own...oops!
As far as why people aren't giving you a call back; I have no idea! I know that's no help...sorry. There are many very good directors in Coastal Vacations. If you just gave them a call and haven't heard anything back, maybe they are on vacation
Just like in anything else there are a few bad apples in every bunch. Keep looking and you will find that Coastal really is great!
I have sent you the information that you requested. If I can help you anymore, just let me know!
Good Luck!
Lora

Hi Kenny,
I don't know who you are talking to. And I really don't know all of the specifics of what he is trying to offer you. Is he charging extra for additional training materials? If he isn't than that doesn't sound legit! I have been with Coastal for over a year and I have never heard of that. The purpose of passing up your first two sales to your director is to train you. Your director keeps the commission off of those sales for helping you along and making sure that you know what you are doing before you are given a directors release. I hope that helps answer your question!
I wish you the best

I was googling Coastal and found this site so I joined just to ask a question about Coastal.
I am all set to go ahead and join Coastal. I have looked into it and am satisfied with the legitimacy. My problem is getting the startup money.
I like my director very much and feel obligated to him. He sent me the 30 ways to finance your startup but....my director is brand new, level 1, his director (i think she is a 2) doesn't accept the payment plan($500 down and 3 equal monthly payments).
I assume then that it's up to each director's discretion on whether or not to accept payment in this manner.
Does anybody have any experience with this payment plan? I would hate to go to another director but is that an option? Or do you have to stay with the original one?
This seems more neutral here than a Coastal site and I think I might get a clearer perspective here.
Any advice from Coastal or non Coastal people is most welcome.
Chris

Chris,
If you like your director and feel obligated to him then you should definitely stick with him!
I do not accept the payment plan either, so I don't really know much about it! If a payment plan is the only way that you can go then take the 500 down and put it in a separate account. Then pay that account the 3 equal payments. When you have it all saved up - buy your package!
My suggestion would be to ask your director if you can go ahead and start training while you are coming up with the money for the package. Get on AS MANY of the training calls as you can. Learn all that you can now, so that when your package is paid for you can hit the ground running!
I can see that you are definitely serious about doing this Chris. If you weren't serious than you wouldn't be here asking questions! So congratulations to you! You are definitely where you are supposed to be.
Get back to that director and ask him about training, I think that's your best bet!
God Bless You!
Lora

Simer03,
Quoting: Simer03 ok, im just beginning with this company, and i have no clue what is going on!!
Have you purchased your package? Do you have a director? Have you been on a live Q&A call, are you participating in them?
Are you purchasing it for the sake of wholesale travel, or are you starting your own business, or both?
If you are buying the package for travel purposes, you will save the cost of the package many times over. The savings in the package are incredible!
If you are starting your own business, and you come in at level 1, you can market the level one package. You are not buying one package and selling one package. You are buying your package and earning a directors release so that you can sell an unlimited number of level 1 packages.
I would be happy to answer your questions in more detail, but I guess I need a little clarification first!
Lora

Hi this is great forum! I also just joined Coastal, about 10 days ago, I just received my package, and have already gotten several leads. I had to leave messages for all but 2, and 1 of them said he wasn't interested afterall in doing home based stuff. I am very nervous on my calls though, and really fumble through my scripts, and feel like I need more help! Can anyone give me some pointers?!?!?
I also have several friends and family who are interested in doing the business as well, but they ask me questions I don't know how to answer, I mean how exactly do we get paid? I don't have the ability to accept credit cards, and I can't afford to spend ANYMORE money for this until I get some back. So I don't quite understand the whole getting paid thing, and I 'd like to meet some people in my area who are in Coastal, so maybe we can do some personal traing or meetings or support in person, is that possible? I live in Colorado. Thanks, Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Welcome, and I agree, this is a wonderful forum! Congratulations on joining Coastal Vacations, just wait, it's going to be a wonderful ride!
You will get better with your calls with practice. Eventually it will actually be fun! You get to meet amazing new people from all over the world and, if Coastal is for them, you get to help them make their dreams a reality!
For now you should definitely go to danijohnson.com if you haven't already done so. Her website is free to join and there are tons of pre-recorded calls there to listen to. She has helped many people who work from home reach six figures in their first year in business. She has helped my business more than even I can imagine!
It sounds to me like you need to talk to your director. He/she can and should walk you thru what you need to do with people from the first step to the last. If you don't know how to answer a person's question - take it to a live call. The question that you ask may be a question that someone else has and they are afraid to ask.
Also, as far as payment goes, we are paid directly by the customer. You can set up a paypal account for free to take credit/debit card payments. After you are paid you take the amount of the package and forward that to the shipping center. The shipping center drop ships your package to your customer.
I hope that helps answer your questions!

Thank you PNL Travel! I have been making more calls, and my directors actually are doing great, I just need to feel ok about it myself! I really can't wait to start seeing my dreams and goals become realities! Thanks again!
Now on the paypal, do I sign up for a personal account or a business account? I am not quite ready yet (I still have to make first 2 training sales) But I always like to get ahead start! And yes I have plugged into Dani Johnson!

Kelly it sounds like you are well on your way!
You have something awesome to offer to the right person. The travel package is amazing in itself and when you combine the business opportunity to that - WOW!!!
Just keep making calls and it will all happen for you
As far as paypal goes, there are 3 basic types of accounts. I started with the premier account and I still use that one. That has all the benefits of a business account except for the multi-user access. So far there have been no problems at all!
Oh, and don't you just love Dani?
