Three months ago I left my job in the corporate world after 22+ years and have been at home since thinking/looking for a home based business that is rewarding---both in terms of making some money and having it benefit worthy social causes.
The idea is to create online stores fully stocked with thousands of products (computers, electronics, home goods, etc) and have home based entrepreneurs host the stores. The people hosting the store re-brand it with their chosen name and market it.
I'm thinking there would be a low cost monthly hosting fee and no inventory risk. Part of the agreement would be that a portion of the profits go to a worthy cause that the store owner determines.
I think it could really revolutionize online retailing---to empower people to easily host these stores and give consumers the opportunity to shop at competitive prices while directing some money to improve the quality of life for those in need.
Please respond with feedback if this sounds like a good idea to continue pursuing. Thank you.

Well, it's a good idea but it is already being done by several companies. Check out dropshipdesigns, for one - tvshoppingsurplus dot com is an example. There are several other companies that are doing this but I cannot recall the names of them.
Good luck!
