I have wanted to get into this online selling for a while now and just looked at this internet speedway site. It seems o.k. but I know that i am in for a lot of surprises down the road. I need an education in this and maybe this site is the way, I dont know? If anyone has helpful advise....it sure would be appreciated.
Thanks....nyyankee7 (brad)

Always do keep the following points in mind when writing for your site/online selling:
1) Be clear about the profile of your target visitor.
2) Bear your end-purpose in mind (Is it to sell the product or service, or to direct the visitor to some other site?)
3) What is the Unique Selling Proposition (USP)- what makes your product or service different from others in the league? (This should be highlighted- very important.)
4) What are the benefits being offered to the visitor?

Nice reminders, ajoshi, something to always remember no matter what your service/product.
Don't forget that it really helps if you believe in and use the product yourself. And never, never cheat your customers!

Uniqueness is very important. I am sure that if you do a search for what ever it is that you are selling you will find many others selling something similar. You need to figure out what you offer that is unique in that market.
Ask yourself why would someone buy from me instead of the others? What do I have to offer that they do not?

I believe it has allot to do with the consumer having confidence in the seller. Also getting to know the seller is a breaking point for me. When I buy something costomer service ranks #1. If I don't feel like I'm getting the attention I need from a seller I'll just go buy it somewhere else.
When posting advertisement on the net it is best to try to be yourself and not try to make sales pitches. It makes people feel more like you are a person and not just some websight...

Keep your subject concentrated. Don't give your customers any reason to click away from your website.
Also, if you have a bit of HTML knowledge, you can get away with creating your own website for very little.
Good luck!
