If there are no takers on this forum, you might try freelance websites like guru.com or elance.com

Hello there,
I am a new designer looking for business. I am currently just setting up a portfolio to show my work along with a Ebook - Template and Script store located at:
[Links removed. Please update your profile to display your website in your signature - Admin]

If you let me know what you are looking for, I can give you a price estimate. Please email me with a site you know that you want yours to look like - sort of, along with how many pages, pictures and text you will want on it.

Hello Rick
Are you sure you do not want to design your site yourself. You will start enjoying it after the initial phase. I knew absolutely nothing about web designing when I started online business but gradually learnt how to design a site. Today you need not know html. There are many hosting companies which offer web design tools. If you are running an online business I strongly recommend that you learn how to design a site. You will have total control and you can edit it whenever you want. Otherwise you have to depend on others for everything.

I agree with arunkumarsuri,
But... the tools hosting companies offer for designing websites make your site look very cheap and unprofessional. To make your site stand out, and not look like you used a free tool... you MUST know html (occasionly also css) and how to use a photo manipulating software like Adobe Photoshop.

I started using the "free tools" back when I was in highschool, I didn't know it then just how amateur they looked, but now I do and would NEVER use one of those sites and proudly say I designed it.

We'll the best way to do that is to get very targeted affiliates/sponsors, the more links you have comming into your website the higher the search engines rank you. Another important step is to make sure your registered with all search engines, as most do not automatically index your page.

I have master resell rights to a awesome program called "Search Engine Submitter" it basically submits your site to the top 40 search engines while you only have to enter your site URL, email and click ENTER. It takes the work out of it. If you are interested in buying the program, let me know.

Great advice!

While paying for a Web site may be the right solution for some people, I would strongly urge every prospective home business owner to invest the time and effort in learning Web Site Design. That investment will return BIG dividends in the future.

If you are new to the world of Internet marketing, there is much to learn anyway, and Web Site Design is one important component of the learning curve that ought to be considered.

Most people who opt to do business online are attracted by the chance to enjoy real freedom in one form or another, and knowing HTML and CSS certainly delivers on that score.

If you know how to design a site, you'll be able to respond immediately to any bright idea you may get for an innovative product, or cutting edge promotional strategy, or to simply test an existing product.

You'll be in control of the exact image you want to present. You'll be able to turn on a dime and make any changes to get better results. You'll have control of the timetable.

If you have to rely on a Web designer, you may also have to give up those controls. And while you are waiting, a competitor could beat you to the punch and launch a similiar idea ahead of you.

Plus, it's always best to invest in yourself in every way you can. The rewards you get back are the ones you appreciate the most.

Now, while I realize this is "advice", but when someone has never done it before ... it's not recommended (unless you're talking about a personal site.)

The reason is simple ... if you've never done it before, your first site won't be very good. It takes YEARS to become a good web developer and unless you plan on working on this every day, consider partnering up with someone who already has the skills.

Now that's not to say you can't learn to EDIT your site, and grow from there. Even the tools to do it well are very costly.

Yes HTML is easy. But there's so much more to web design than that.

But I guess it will depend on how seriously you are going to approach your business.

Anyone who is looking for a website built with a store... I am interested in doing it.

I just purchased a lifetime licence to a store script, where you can sell real world items *not download products* and I am looking to get some sites for my portfolio. So far I only have personal sites which I can show you if needed.

I will design you a logo and 2 promotional banners which you can give out to other website owners or use for advertising. The store installation and licence included for $160 USD.

This DOES NOT include a Domain name or Web Hosting.

Anyone interested, contact me by email: [email protected]
