OK. I've gotten mixed messages from all over the world it seems so I've come to what I feel is THE best forum on the net today to get the quality advice and opinions I long for. I know the topic has been discussed in bits and pieces all over the forum, but I'm trying to get it all in one place.

The questions are this: when promoting an affiliate website, are TE's worth it. If not, why? If so, why? And finally, if you've had success with any of the TE's out there, which ones are they?

So come forth my hundreds of Jedi Masters, let your wisdom shine down on your young Jedi in training. Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think traffic exchanges are worth your money. From what I understand, when you are involved in a traffic exchange, the whole purpose you visit someone else's websites are for you to get "credits", and the reason other people visit your website is so they can get "credits". So...getting involved in a traffic exchange means you pay money for low quality traffic - not worth it if you ask me.

I never had much luck with TE so I don't waste my time with them anymore unless I can get my kids to surf for me - and I know that I am not the sharpest tool in the shed so I KNOW that I am not the first to figure out that kids can surf - lol

Traffic...maybe.

Targeted traffic...not hardly.

Ok here's what I've learned about TE.
If your object is to sell something, then don't waste your time as no one is really there to shop for anything. ...They are they to promote their businesses.

If you're their looking for a down line then they can be a useful tool...and here's why.
When EVERYONE first starts marketing a web page what do they do? Much like both you and I they turn to the simplest thing to use...TE. That being said you have a large group of green marketers using TE. I've had some good success in "converting" many a TEer to my cause simply because if they are using TE then they are definitely in need of some guidance...and I offer that too them. It doesn't take a much TEing to learn that everyone else is doing exactly what you're doing and not really paying attention to the ads.

Knowing this FLIP IT.

One of the ads I use on TE is here: http://www.opendomain.ws/Exchange.html (non promotional but if you feel you need to delete Vishal be my guest)

My reasoning was that I noticed when I first started that for the most part I clicked and switched screens while my TE counter was counting, BUT every now and again I would catch a glimpse of something promising me MORE TRAFFIC...and well that's what I was really after. So that's what I now offer to help people get.

I hope that makes sense.

I've had some good success with virtual traffic jam, and trafficg you can find links to their sites on my main site.

Best of luck,
Gil
