Does anyone know where to get real targeted traffic? I am tired of these companies pretending to offer targeted traffic and really deliver nothing. I know traffic is the blood lines to any online business.

If you have time, the best option to get targeted traffic is to work yourself for it. If you have money, then I would suggest Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing. The visitors you get from these campaigns are the most targeted as they are not provided any incentive to visit your site. However, these visitors don't come cheap and unless you have a proven system in place, it can drain your resources faster than you can imagine.

Dont forget the Free Classifieds system, they are working well, try to find out some free classifieds sites and post your offers in relative category and always keep on testing with sites and mainly track your visitors paths, it will help more to keep advertising regularly on particular resources... visit webmaster forums about getting traffic...
Test, Test, Test... this is success formula...

I must agree with the last post. I have been getting tons of prospects from placing 'free classifieds' online.
I just search for Free internet advertising and started checking them out. I registered for those that looked good.
You know if they read your ad and then go to your site that that is what they are really looking for.
Some pretend to be free, but aren't really...so beware. Your obvious clue is when they ask for payment.
I didn't even know that this advertising existed until I started working my program. I'm on a role now.

Yes.. also submit articles and ezines. I also like to use the Veretekk system [Affiliate link removed - Admin] because it helps increase my SEO so you will get more target traffic. And automatically submits your site to search engines. You can customize your meta tags and everything. And it's free.

Hey tonyb,
It takes a lot more than one step.
Maybe you should find another system.
If not, you will have to work hard and take baby steps until you find your target audience.

If you believe in your program that makes the visitors to customers or ur downline, then you can go for adwords or other PPC with ur $100 and that will make you money not in 1 week but in 1 day... but its not easy to do adwords for newbies... so its pretty risk one.. think and get start...

Before you spend a whole bunch of money on Adwords, you need to learn about how to use them first. There are people every day who are new to advertising that are spending hundreds or thousands on Adwords and not getting results. I would recommend an ebook like the Rich Jerk or Adwords 1-2-3. You can find both on my site and both are very good.
Adwords is tricky and can cost a lot, so you don't want to throw that money away.

To answer your question, it really depends on whether or not you are doing pay per click advertising or not. If so, you can generate some very good keywords with Word Tracker, although it will cost you $50 per month.
You can also try article writing and blogging. I hope this helps.

Can you please tell me how you track your visitors? I posted on some free classifieds and I have been getting some prospects but I am not sure where they are from.
Thank you,
Susan

I am going to ask a question with this too. I have used Free Classified and not sure how well it works, but what if you are not selling anything, how effective is Adwords. I did it for two months and it can add up fast..... am I missing something? I have also used Network Solutions (my hosting company) Marketing where they submit to search engines for me.... going okay so far. Search Monster is another good one that you can use for FREE.
Hope that helps.

The only thing I can say here is... I use adwords to advertise the program I sell, the cost to advertise is small compared to the quality leads and sign ups I recieve from it. It's not something I would recommend you do unless your selling something in some form... if your doing it that way your paying for traffic to your site and not re-couping that money, this is a good way to get into debt fast! There is a fantastic five day ourse you can do that will explain the sunnier side of Adwords for you and help you to get the most out of it too... http://www.perrymarshall.com/google/ By the way... this guy really knows what he's talking about!

I would suggest Adwords as a great way to generate traffic but it does require som heavy maintainance on your end.
Make sure that you are making a good ROI which means that you must have spot on records and analysis tools handy. Google Adwords provides a analytical feature that I think is just big brother looking out for anothr way to ovr charge you.
Point being that it is the best way in a rush to generate traffic for your newly made site.

Tony, here are three strategies that I use that are free and
very effective to get visitors to your website that actually end
up turning into paid customers.
Strategy #1 = Traffic Exchanges: I personally have success with
traffic exchanges. It is very important that you use them
correctly to get the best out of them. Use them to collect email
addresses or use them by advertising a catchy splash page that
will attract the viewers attention.
Never use them to advertise a generic affiliate page or a whole
webpage. You want to let the viewers see a splash page first
which will catch their attention and then have them go to the
main page or have a splash page offering a gift in exchange for
an email address.
Here is a tutorial that I have in my forum about traffic
exchanges. The tutorial is directed towards the members of my
membership website but it applies to anyone who uses traffic
exchanges: http://empireblast.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1150474901
Strategy #2 = Writing And Submitting Article To Directories:
Everyone has something that they can write about. The idea is to
write an article any where from 450 characters to about 900
characters. Then you can submit them to as many article
directories as possible. Two of the most popular are
ideamarketers.com and ezinearticles.com
You can also use a submission service like articlemarketer.com
which will submit your article to thousands of websites and
directories. Here is how you get the traffic. At the end of the
article you want to have a resource box. A resource box can
simply be a 2 - 3 line sentence about yourself with a link to
your website.
This will bring you traffic in a number of ways. People that read
the article will go on and click on to your website because they
just read a good article written by you. This builds up your
reputation as a professional.
Another way that it will send you traffic is that since now you
have thousands of websites linking to you, you will also receive
search engine traffic. If you don't want to write an article you
can also hire a ghost writer to write them for you.
Strategy #3 = Participating in forums: Notice that I said
participating in forums. Not spamming forums. By helping out
other people in forums and offering valuable information people
will go ahead and click on your signature. These are very
targeted visitors because you just helped them out and they are
curious as what you have to offer to them.
Try all of the above strategies on a weekly basis and you will
start to see results.

If you want to learn a bunch on email marketing, I would recommend reading Inside The List. It has a lot of great information on email marketing, but at $97, it does come with a hefty price tag.
If you don't want to purchase ITL, you can always get an Aweber subscription, which is an auto-responder which you can use to capture email adresses and send out mini courses. It costs $19.99 a month, but it is fairly user friendly, and they have great customer service.
If you are going to start email marketing, one thing to keep in mind is to try and provide your subscribers with some kind of value - don't just throw out a bunch of sales pitches without providing value, because this will probably just tick people off.

The only thing about an Opt-In Page/PopUp is the fact that alot of actually qualified people bypass them by just hitting the Close Button. Some then tend to get annoyed because they know what is involved once they submit their email address.

Email marketing is very risky. Make sure that if you are going to buy into a campaign of this nature that you really check out the company providing it first. People have already been put in jail in some states for spamming. I agree that search engine are the best site magnet however they can be pricy at times due to ranked rates.

Yes, it is risky and even for a double optin mailing list, response rates are low for repeat mailings

What you can do is create a "squeze" page, which is an opt in form that is part of your webpage. That way, you don't have tp worry about someone closing a popup box. Aweber will generate the "opt in" code you can copy and paste right into your web page.

If you use Aweber, you create your own email list. People who sign up for your list are automatically tracked through Aweber, and Aweber automatically includes an "opt out" link which allows people to stop receiving emails from you if they don't want to receive them anymore. This way, you don't have to worry about people accusing you of being a spammer, because you have done your part to allow people to opt out - and you have only emailed people who have opted in.

Hi Tonyb
I would touch this if you paid me for it. Why, we have so many issues these days wit Spam, and it is only getting worse. However, if you have your own list of opt in subscribers, then you can safely market to them via email autoresponders, provided you supply them with a link to unsubscribe. All the good responder compnaies have this inbuilt anyway. Keep your hands of whitelists!
