I got my domain name registered recently. I would like to know whether it makes any difference if I write the URL as http://www.homebusinessandfamilylife.com/
http://homebusinessandfamilylife.com/
www.homebusinessandfamilylife.com/
Thanks

Hey Arun,
Nice site.
I personally think the shorter the URL the easier to remember.
Just a thought,

Any of the three (3) formats you illustrated can be used in today's browsers. They are designed to know which protocol to use. Many browsers will even allow you to omit the http://www. completely, using only the domain name, and still retrieve the Web page.
It's entirely your choice!

In SEO point of view, it's safer to promote one form of url (by using 301 redirect). Because search engines see http://domain.com and http://www.domain.com as two different versions and pagerank gets distributed between the two urls rather than added. Also, there is a problem Search Engines might cache both versions of your urls and see it as duplicate content. There is an interesting discussion on this on webmasterworld.

If you are using sitemeter for your statistics, better hide them for public users, because other webmasters can easily access yours stats from where your websites traffic coming from and other issues... and if your site is new better use www.statcounter.com for better results for website tracking... and also while installing code into your HTML select the option INVISIBLE mode, so that public users cant see your stats... its so simple to install...
Keep checking your stats regularly logging into your account and find the referrals that produce you more traffic and concentrate more on there to get more traffic for your site... its all been the traffic is more important for any website to stay atleast for some time in this competitive market...
If you have any problem installing code for your site, pls come back we will help you...
