Hello Community,
Now a days the awareness and effectiveness of search engine optimization is spreading like anything. Many newbies are trying to optimize their websites. But there are a few websites that gives false information and divert them.
Search engine optimization is a long term process. It is not like invest time and money today and reap the profit tomorrow. It takes at least 6 months. I hope many industry experts will agree with me. The most important thing is you need to do White Hat Optimization.
So what is white hat optimization all about. Is that doing the optimization process by wearing a white hat !
Nope. Just for fun. ok. Back to topic. So, white hat optimization is using right techniques in optimization. If you do some fraud techniques to change the search engine optimization, it may lead you in a wrong direction like throwing your website out of google's index. You may succeed but you may not be able to stay in that position.
First Guideline: Very first advice for any one who starts a website for monetizing or SEO is to create a value to your visitors. Do create some useful contents. Think from user's view not from search engines view at first. The more value you give, the more success you reap. So the first guideline for any one is to create some value to your visitors.
Just think from your visitor's view. See what are all his problems and try to create contents that can solve his problems. This must be the first thought.
So this would be my first suggestion for any one thinking of SEO or website. Many will say its keywords is the first step. But I would keep value of the website in the higher place than the keywords.
I think may experienced SEO specialist can share their view on this idea.
Regards Sam

Hi,
I don't think that SEO and keywords are mutually exclusive. I think it's possible to provide good content and at the same time, use the best keywords when you are writing it.
Recently, I was doing a video to demonstrate the importance of using the right keywords. I typed in the keyword phrase "weight loss" and Google's search results page came back with 119 MILLION sites. now how can you compete with that?
Now, if you chose a less popular but still in high demand keyword like "weight loss for women over 40", you would come up with 2,390,000 sites that contain that keyword phrase. Odds are a little better that someone will find your site. Keep punching in those keyword phrases until you get a number for the search results page where your site can be noticed. This takes a lot of research but it's so worth it.
Assuming your site is targeted to women over 40 who want to lose weight, then your content should obviously be informative and valuable to them. Having one doesn't mean the other is not as important. Both are part of the long process of optimizing your site for the search engines.
My .02 .
Eunice
