Hi. Danny Arrington here. I wanted to open a discussion on traffic. If you do clickbank stuff, blogs, biz opps or any type of online business...where are you getting your traffic?
I have my views on it, but I wanted to see what others do for traffic.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Danny,
I get the vast majority of my traffic from the search engines. I do get a trickle from my inbound links, but that's just a bit of cream.
I've never paid for traffic. I just build content around researched keywords and phrases on my sites and the engines send me targeted traffic for free.

Here is my recurring traffic generation copy/paste:
SEO for organic articles press release message boards with a sig link free classifieds comments on other's blogs with link Yahoo directory - $300/year Dmoz directory Business.com directory multiple websites of your own - linking back to the target website your blog links back to your website Search engine registration ask for a review from a high traffic blog owner ($100-$500) figure out ways to get a linkback from a higher PR site Social Bookmarking RSS Submission Viral Marketing with ebooks
Hope it helps

I get some traffic from articles, free press release sites, blog and forum posting.
But the huge majority of my traffic comes from adwords (both PPC and Content placement).
Right now I am averaging 2-cents per click and have a CTR of 24%.
How does adwords perform for me? Last 3 days for example; adspend was $15.89, income was $201.26.
To you success,
Michael

Article marketing on ezinearticles.com blogcatalog.com hosting my own blog and pinging it syndicating my blog with feedburner.com] squidoo lenses sig links in forums submit blog posts at digg.com submit blog posts at propeller.com stumble my blog posts at stumble.com
Occasionally I'll get some traffic from Google, but it's very spotty. I'm hoping as time goes on Google will rank me higher. We'll see.

Mostly my traffic are from PPC, especially Adwords and adCenter. Now I'm trying to get free traffic from articles and classified ads, but I know that this should take sometimes.

Well, I am using (but not limited to) the following: Google Search (always organic...example? Look up "Reliv" which gets around 15K per month or look up "wealth masters" which is about the same) Squidoo Hubpages VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO blogging forums Facebook Myspace (both of those two sites are HUGE for me) Ning Network Direct Matches
I could keep going with the social media sites. But all my traffic is free.
The one area where I have developed some curiosity is articles. So I have reached out to Jeff Schuman who is a frequent poster on these boards.
I checked out his site and he seems to have a great system in place. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do for me (and, of course, what I can do for him).
At the end of the day, if you are not adding value then you need to get out of the "free traffic" business.
Peace and love people!

Good question. Traffic depends on the project. General projects traffic comes from PPC, articles, SEO etc. For some projects such as hard goods I might use a hybrid approach such as local paper classifieds and flyers.
I believe that using a combination of offline and online marketing is great for some projects. It also helps you to take your products to a market that is not yet been reached.
