I like traffic exchanges. Not because I get a torrent of real traffic from them, but because I get some traffic and I get to learn what is going around. Recently I ran across a traffic exchange sizzle page for MoreActualVisitors which made it seem pretty special. I couldn't figure out why the visitors were Actual Visitors (lets not kind ourselves about traffic exchanges here) by readngthe FAQ so I emailed them asking what makes their program so special. The response I got was interesting because it typifies the defensiveness of marketers who really don't have a new idea but want you to think that they do. i am not saying its a bad program, but its apparently nothing more than a traffic exchange...

Here's my inquiry:

My answer:

Is it a traffic exchange or not? and what makes it
more special than the 40-50 other prominent exchanges?
I read you FAQ and there is nothing in there
that tells me this is anything more than a pitch
for a "pro" membership in a start page exchange.
I use and respect start-page exchanges as
a marketing method, but I don't see what makes
your "actual visitors" different from the visitors
received from any other manual exchange.

I was intrigued enough by your splash page
to inquire. If you have something better than
the usual, tell me why its better. I saw a promise
in the copy, but no unique proposition.

You have evaded my questions by implying I
don't have vision. Patently incorrect.
I have respect for your clever
packaging but I am (it is true) not seeing
what makes your program special.

As yet, no response. I guess that means that MoreActualVistitors is NothingMoreThanATrafficExchange

Moreactualvisitors is a paid traffic exchange. You have to pay a fee to become a member. The philosophy of the traffic exchanges that you have to pay to get into is that your offer will be in front of better qualified viewers than free traffic exchanges because all of the members viewing your websites had to pay to become a member. They are suppose to be more likely to make a purchase from you.

I personally prefer using the larger traffic exchanges because you can present your page to more viewers even if they are free. I use traffic exchanges to build my list. Traffic exchanges should not be used to try to sell a product because everyone is trying to promote their own product. Use traffic exchanges to build your email list of subscribers and follow up with your subscribers.
