You can actually build online marketing webpages for FREE at BlinkWeb. I use this website to build all my marketing pages for my online business. I the use Godaddy to purchase a domain for my business. It's great because I do not have to pay for hosting or to create the webpage. This is an awesome tool to use especially for newbies to the online marketing industry.

Do they rate well for keywords at blinkweb? I have used freewebs a lot but they do not rank well for keywords - or at least not in my opinion.

I like them for when I just need a page to hold things together but when I want to get 'found' on the search engines, Squidoo and blogs seem to work better for me.

Hi Mountain,

Squidoo: PR8
BlinkWeb: PR3
Freewebs: PR7

While PR isn't everything, it can paint the beginning of a picture - at least as far as hunches go in regards to this topic.

Squidoo is a heavy hitter, is nicely SEOd, and is generous with authority sharing.

BlinkWeb doesn't have much authority to share.

Freewebs may or may not have poor SEO design. They may also not be very generous with authority sharing in regards to internal linking structure is concerned. Back links to individual pages make a big difference as does traffic.

That was at a quick glance. It wouldn't be hard to understand fairly well with 20 minutes of research if even that much.

You might check your PR on the individual Freewebs pages. If you find that you have PR3 pages or above, then it isn't the SEO or the authority sharing of the Freewebs domain.

I concur that Squidoo is the way to go in the world of free pages :)

Hi Mountain,

Just ran across your reply. PM me if you ever ask a question of me and you don't get a reply from me after three or four days. Sometimes the messages get pushed down and off the main area within minutes.

If you use IE or Firefox for a browser, you can download the Google Toolbar here (be sure to enable Page Rank once you install it - make sure you grab the right one. There are versions for different browsers on the same page so look closely):

http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/FT3/intl/en/index.html

Then you'll be able to see the PR of any site you visit. It is on a scale of 0-10. If the site is at least a PR1, you'll see a green bar. Sites that have a PR of zero show all white and no green. Some sites are unranked and you'll see that the bar is grayed out.

You can hover over the bar to get a number.

The bar also has additional functions and you can move the toolbar around. I only use the PR function and the spell checker. I find the rest to be annoying but you might like some of them. I like to keep the toolbar area clutter to a minimum.

There are similar add-ons for other browsers as well. Just Google it.

The higher PR a TLD (Top Level Domain aka home page addy) has, the more PR (authority) it has to distribute to its lower tiered pages. Thus, in the example above, Squidoo has the most PR to distribute. It has more oomph in regards to SERPs.

You're right, Squidoo rocks :)
