Now that you've signed on to that lucrative MLM business, and have invested your hard earned cash into the program, you're probably wondering why it's so hard to recruit other people into your downline. Afterall, this IS a great business opportunity, isn't it? A person can make thousands of dollars every week, once they get on board. (Or at least that's what YOU were told, right?) So, why aren't they beating down your cyber doors, and filling your coffers with cash?
Let me fill you in on a little dirty secret. Almost every week, a brand new MLM company is launched on the internet. Every one of these new companies have a "revolutionary new product," and an "amazing and lucrative compensation plan." Every one of these new companies boasts a great training and support network. They all promise HUGE returns with very little work. As soon as someone opts in to one of these website offers, their email is harvested by list building companies, and they are FLOODED with email advertisements from hundreds of MLM businesses all screaming for them to join up with their "Revolutionary and Amazing" opportunity.
Sound familiar? You've probably been on the receiving end of more than a few of these emails. What did YOU do? If you're like 99% of all your possible prospects, you simply tuned them out, deleted the emails, without reading them or looked to find the opt out option, and clicked on that.
The bottom line is this: All those "tried and true" promotion methods that all these MLM companies teach you are absolutely WORTHLESS! STOP USING THEM! YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY!
These marketing programs might have been valid ten years ago, but in today's internet environment, and with the sophistication (and cynical) level of people, today, it's about as useful as the proverbial screen door on a submarine. The problem is you and your message are completely lost in a screaming crowd of ads all saying the same thing. And you wonder why no one is listening?
The solution to your marketing problem is very simple. Separate yourself from the mob. Target your marketing program to a specific audience, by offering to help them solve THEIR PROBLEM. Build the "better mousetrap," and people will beat down your doors with cash in hand. Stop talking about your "great business opportunity." We've all heard that, and we really don't care (or believe you). Instead, tell people how they can have more free time to improve the quality of their life. Tell them how you will show them how to get that hot sports car or beautiful home. Show them how you can get them out of their strangling debt. Get the picture.
Trying to pitch just a business opportunity, and nothing more than that, is like trying to sell a filet mignon to a vegetarian. It just isn't going to work.
Become known as a SOLVER OF PROBLEMS, and you will enjoy a dramatic increase in your own MLM business.
See you at the top!

This is excellent advice! If I remember correctly, this is why I joined up. To help solve my debt problem. The one I chose was legitimate and helped to earn an income month after month. You just have to be careful what you do join. There are a lot of scams out there. EXELLENT advice...thanks!!

Hi there!
First of all, with an old system you always found people, who are in... or were in if the system itself isn't tolerate the passive partners.
Second: The most system have some error in their marketing plan.
So if you want to make yourself a living with MLM, you must choose carefully.
Choose a system which: -Is registered by authorities. -Has no, join cost. Instead offer some marketing reference to register you as a partner. -Migth be an old system is some country, but starting to become in your language NOW. So it will be new to your neighbours. -Always check references for products, if they don't fit you don't start to become affiliating them. -the system may use not just partners, but buyers instead... For them no monthly cost(or must buyed amount of product) -may the system itself created, to set the affiliates help their partners. (like forced matrix). -It is always a good point to chose a system, which is "cheap" and have great bonuses for it's buyers. -Don't think the marketing plan as real... it is just the "best" or the "average" ascension.
IT IS YOU WHO DECIDE HOW MANY WORK YOU GIVE IT IN.
If you have your own marketing handled right, and choosed the best system you can, the masses will be join, and not you force them in. If they starting to "work" you can lean back. Not like the single line affiliate work, where you must advertise, and/or collecting lists... constantly.

Become a problem solver.....I like that. If you get into a good company and the system is proven and the company dose have a huge member base and great track record, been in business for years....all of the above great things.....STICK WITH IT!!! THE GRASS IS'NT GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE.....focus, bunker down, promote your ass off, work as much as you can, piss off your wife because your on the computer so much...because in the end your going to succeed, your going to will it into a truth a reality. I've bounced around and never made money untill I grabed onto the one and worked my ass off. Thats how you BOOM your MLM business.

I was with another MLM that was mostly an income opportunity and I am now with NuSkin. The thing I like better about NuSkin is that there is an actual product involved. I am finding it easier to sell because I love the product.
NuSkin has also been in existence for a number of years and it is a public company listed on the NYSE.
I have been researching these for awhile and it seems like someone takes an income opportunity, makes a slight change and then sells it off as their own. I don't know how long that can go on. I like having a product associated with the opportunity.
I would suggest that you thoroughly research the people you are getting involved with.

Right, I believe the answer is: we must dominate social media in order to do our marketing these days. We need exposure and to be really trusted online. This takes time but pays in the long run.
Nice post. Regards,
Carlos

Great thread you are on point, lets remember that a system is just a way of doing something. Here is one definition 'An established or organized procedure; a method.' nothing more or less how you get ready in the morning is a system; and everything else we do day in day out, it should be no different in building a business.
If you company or team has a system in place use it do add or take away anything that is the point of having a system to follow someone has already done all the testing, trials and error already.
If its not broke don't fix it, this IMO is one of the biggest problems many who fail in network marketing have they 1) don't like what has already been provided, 2) think they know it all and can make it better, and 3) are not teachable in network marketing you are not expected to know everything before you join you are expected to be teachable.
Successful people in this industry are teachable, not only are they teachable they also invest in themselves as well. Network marketing is NOT!!! a get rich scheme, it takes time it is a real business when you realize this and build it as such you will see thing happen. You get out of it what you put in. thanks
