Hi everyone
am only 21, left school when i was 11 so to be honest i dont no much when it comes to IT.
However one thing was im not paying a fortune paying someone to do seo for me! rip off!!
My website is 1 year old and i now take home a great wage below are the things i have done to make it work:
. Meta tags and meta descriptions:
Make sure the meta description starts the content on your page.
. Back links - Forums, blogs, articles
.Content is the key!! lots of content without smamming
Thats all i have done and my website is fine.

Thanks are sharing your success. It is very nice to hear that you have made a success at the right time. The techniques you have spoken are old school techniques. I am not complaining. They are the basics and they will work very well in a less competitive nitche.
But in a competitive nitche they will not work out. SEO is now all about nitche and competition. So have this in your corner and work out.
BTW if you are talking about the signature domain, it has expired on 10th March. I Wonder what are you trying to say

Congrats to your success, Siobhanbrown. SEO can make the difference for a website in Google's eyes...and in your bank account!

siobhanbrown, the .com domain is about to expire it. Just back order it or purchase once it is deleted, so that you could hold your brand name.

Congratulations on your success! I agree that using white hat methods are really the only way to avoid the dreaded "google" slap.
