Can anyone tell me of any home based businesses that don't require an up front fee or charge to get started with the business? Most of what I see on the web require a start up cost.

Most of the online businessess now asking a startup fee, they are not recruiting to their company as their employers, giving opportunities to make money online, so there should be charge to start... but still you can't make sure about legit opportunities, whether they are charging or not... its up to the company providing the opportunities and how long they are in the business, and dont think if they asks a startup fee they are scams...

If you are searching for no upfront fee to make money online, you can join like affiliate programs to promote various products online... and its not easy as well, there should be lots work to do... you can signup like www.clickbank.com www.cj.com these are good companies to manage affiliate programs and peoples are earning good amount of money without any investments...

Hi Cindy my name is Shelly Swanzy and I just started my home based business in January. The mother company has been in business for 20 years. I don't do any selling I just process requests for information about non-toxic products and our home based business opportunity. The start-up costs are less than a night out--and they will give you 3 FREE websites to help you start your business. All their training is very and a very valuable resource. I love it I actually just finished all of my training and I am already starting to achieve my 2nd goal. I created goals for myself so that I could get where I want to be one year from now. I'm just so excited that I finally found a real work from home business opportunity. I work totally from my home computer and my home telephone. You could to. If interested please visit one of my free websites--if your still interested please fill out an interest form. I hope this is a blessing to you as it was for me.

Hey Cindy!
Any BUSINESS is going to take money to get started. Would you expect to go open up a hair salon BUSINESS out in the "real world" without investing some money into it?
NOPE.
So the same with home based businesses.
It will be YOUR BUSINESS.

So you should say you are looking for a work at home JOB.
There the only investment you would have put out is maybe $30 for a background check, since you will be working for someone.

If you are looking for a work at home job then you should really look into LIVEOPS.
Their website is
http://www.liveops.com
Go there and look under how to become an agent. I am not affiliated with liveops but I know 2 people who do this from home. One just got started and she likes it a lot and the other has been in it since Nov. and she said her highest pay so far has been $800 for 2 weeks.

I've been working at home dropshipping items on ebay. Since I'm selling general merchandise, which doesn't generate as much profit as unique items like anitques or one of a kinds, I've increased my revenue by selling more volume of goods. It requires some time to initially set all the listings up, but once set up, they can be renewed each week with just a click of a button. I know they won't all sell, but due to the large volume of items I still sell enough each week to generate a great income and more than cover the small costs of the listed items that don't sell. The increased volume of products increased the chance someone will click on my product and then my other items and buy something. I spent many many hours researching dropshippers, but in the end I am breaking six figures a year and all on ebay. I spend about 15 to 20 hours per week actually doing listing, answering emails, and placing order. I also spend about another 5 hours per week constantly shopping for new products to buy. And also, since I am using a dropshipper, I never have to front any of my own money. I highty recommend dropshipping.

To generate an income, you can do so with a minimum of a domain, hosting, and computer & software to create webpages. A very simple way to make some nice spending money is to create a website that discusses your interests or hobby. Then place contextual ads on the site that pay you money when someone clicks on the ads. What is nice about this type of money-making site is that you have virtually no maintenance - you just keep adding content and pages that contain new contextual ads. The contextual ads are always kept current. This can make you from $50 a month to $1000 per month or more, depending on how extensive (and popular) your website is. Generally speaking, if you can get internet traffic to your site, it can make money for you. The domain registration is about $9 per year and the hosting cost is anywhere from $50 to $95 per year.

I would look into getting started selling on eBay. I personally have never had much success with online business ventures, and that's after two years of experience. In fact I've put together a whole kit to help people get started on eBay based on my experiences.

eBay and my own personal website are the only two avenues I've been able to make a good income with that I could count on. The biggest obstacle for me is driving traffic to my site... that can be a little rough.
