So I'm back at Ground Zero trying to find a niche or topic of interest. It's so hard. Does anyone have any tips or info I can dig into. I've used countless online tools etc., I just can't break the beginning barrier.

also if you wanna make comments on the direction of my blog please do.

So are you trying to make money with adsense with your blog or are you trying to market nascar collectables...?

Your blog is good - am just not sure how you are monetizing it... It's all about making money, right?

I didn't have a lot of time to go thru it, so forgive me! But if you don't have any way of finding out what keywords to use, I would agree with aplina that you may want to use wordtracker... I am still working on the keyword thing - it's tricky, is all I can say!

Good luck,
Viola

Hello JTMx29,

Judging from the information you have on your blog about NASCAR and collecting NASCAR cars, it seems to me that you know a lot about the sport. You are obviously very passionate about it and you do love collecting cars.

I like the idea of using a series of videos to show your collection. Have you considered writing an ebook about collecting NASCAR stuff and then using your videos to create interest in it?

Racing is a such a big sport that there must be fans in the tens of thousands who would love to find out more, as well as learn how to go about collecting memorabilia.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. Did you read that free affiliate marketing course yet? I sent you a private message so you can access it if you haven't.

I think it will help you in narrowing things down for you. Sometimes I think people would be better off starting with a less than perfect niche to begin with rather than forever searching for the 'perfect niche.' You learn so much by actually doing.

You can always find the perfect niche for your second one.

Thanks for all the tips and such. HappyWife I will start to read that pdf you sent me.

It's just frustrating because I still haven't been indexed by google. It's been like a week and a half etc. But I'll read on.

Hi there,

It can take quite a while to get your site indexed by Google and they go their own sweet way on this one.

Having read your Nascar site - I did notice that there seem to be the description and meta tags missing on the source code - and you have all sort of words you can use - Nascar collectibles being just one! (or two LOL)

I am not an expert on Search engine Optimization, but I know that having the appropriate search terms and keywords helps a lot with the search engines. It makes it easier for them to spider it.

A site map is also very effective with the search engines too.

Another thing you can do on a site as specialized as this - is to get yourself into all the online directories that include this kind of topic - there will be many free ones. That will help it receive incoming links, which will also help you with the search engines.

Hope this helps a little. it is a great site and I imagine for any Nascar fan it will be a treasure. All the best of luck

Jenny

One great idea is to use Google Trends. They give the top 100 items being searched for in a given day, which in most cases doesn't usually give any good information on a niche market. But what you can do is enter a keyword (or multiple keywords separated by commas) and then do a search to see how they rank in searches.

For example enter "ebay, affiliate marketing" as two search terms and see how searches for ebay totally blow away affiliate marketing with regards to searches.

Once you have an niche you want to market, you can check out my site below which gives you some FREE marketing tools to help get the sales process going

Good Luck

Hi, maybe I can help. What kind of business are you in? Do you have a face book & if so, what is your advertising like? Let me know, maybe I can help.

To your massive success,
Michelle
