I have a question for the new members of the Work at Home Forum....Okay, actually three...
1) What do you feel you MOST need to succeed as an internet marketer?
2) What do you feel are your biggest fears holding you back?
3) What do you think could help you the most in getting your message at the top rankings of the search engines? Do you think that matters?
Please guys, absolutely no judgments will be made on your answers. Help me learn about your concerns.
Thanks in advance!

Well... I just finished Make Your Words Sell..the free ebook from Site Sell, and thought it was awesome. I feel most marketers would benefit immensly from reading this book. I plan to read it again, and apply it to my websites and all content. Victoria
More backlinks would help..and more info on getitng links..legitimately.

1) What do you feel you MOST need to succeed as an internet marketer? I think for me I need someone to essentially hold my hand and tell me what to do. Someone that has actually done it before and isn't trying to sell me something. I know the information is there but it is hard to find for free.
2) What do you feel are your biggest fears holding you back? That I am going to fall for some stupid scam and lose money rather than make it. I know there are legit things out there but I have been having a hard time finding them. I dont mind doing the work but finding someplace that will show me what to do has been a challenge
3) What do you think could help you the most in getting your message at the top rankings of the search engines? Do you think that matters? I think this is a big deal for me. It's the whole catch 22 thing - you have to have money to make money. I don't have a lot to work with so I can't pay to advertise. I have to be creative to figure out how to get my stuff to the top of the search engines. I haven't figured out how to do that yet so it is hard. I don't really know if it matters or not because my stuff has never been at the top of the search engines. I think it would definitely help me though.
If you want to know anything else feel free to ask!

1. Training 2. Lack of knowledge 3. Keywords and it matters if you want traffic to your site.

1. You need to work hard and think outside of the box. Unfortunately, working hard is only part of the equation - being innovative and doing something that everyone else is NOT doing can give you a huge boost.
2. Usually what holds me back is the thought that I might put a lot of time and hard work into something and not earn a dime. Of course, you can't earn a dime if you don't put time and effort into something...
3. Be flexible. Expirament with different things. Start out with the free methods of marketing to rank high in the search engines. Once you have made some sales and have a system that works, replicate that system into something that will work with Google Adwords. Then, set up your compaigns, test things out, tweak some things, ask questions, and hopefully watch the money roll in!

1) What do you feel you MOST need to succeed as an internet marketer? = I need to learn a lot more about marketing for a start - and i need the money to market in the first place. Basically, time, knowledge and money. I find it is difficult to learn the ins and outs - i have considered joining the likes of TraVerus and cruise to cash etc, but i just don't know enough about it all to be willing to take the risk. I emailed one or two members who could possibly have been my upline, but i wasn't satisfied with the information i was given in return.
2) What do you feel are your biggest fears holding you back?
I guess this answer is similar to what i just mentioned above - i cannot afford to waste money and i have little confidence in myself - i need constant support when trying something new and i find that most places pretty much are desperate for you to join and are full of promises - that is until they get the money out of you, which, thus far i have never yet done due to my reservations. I don't want (well, ideally yes, but realistically not) to become a millionaire within the year, i just want to earn the equivalent to what i would in a week on the British minimum wage - i just want a legitimate and honest income. More would be fantastic, but i am looking for honesty and security and i find that i don't trust most of the companies that i see offering work from home opportunities.
Not to mention that i am from the UK, and most opportunities seem to be aimed towards North Americans.
3) What do you think could help you the most in getting your message at the top rankings of the search engines? Do you think that matters?
Having the money, and help to do so.

1. Good coaching with good support, to over come problems. Also desire and determination to succeed.
2. Not wanting to waste money, although I realise there will be expenses along the way.
3. Expert advice, to achieve top rankings, although I don't believe this is vital so long as you are getting good traffic and sales conversions.

There are people spending hundreds of dollars a day on pay per clicks. Too much competition there. Find an obscure product to promote that isn't getting too much attention and submit an article about it to ezine articles or some other article marketing agency. Its free. Also, i saw an ad from bizz-wizz that was on google's first index page for a product. It cost $22. I don't know how long it will be there, but it's there.

Yes, I do agree.
If you have no marketing budget, then go with the so called 'bummarketing' where it is practically FREE and you can get up on the 1st page of Google with the right selected niche!

1.) tools and strong networks
2.) I suppose my biggest fear would be failure to be honest
3.) I've been doing keyword searches on google and trying to keep my titles strong and unique. most of my time goes into this aspect alone.

Since i am new into the internet business: 1. I would need step by step instructions (a visual of an example would be nice) I am a visual hands on learner, so this is quite the challenge for me. 2. Learning all this new computer lingo. For example:squidoo-for the life of me I just can't seem to understand the lingo 3. All the free information that has been provided by everyone

1) What do you feel you MOST need to succeed as an internet marketer? Hmm... The obvious answer is money, since I have none to spend, really. But other than that, I think just training and the reassurance that I am doing the right things that will eventually get me to where I want to go.
2) What do you feel are your biggest fears holding you back? My biggest fear is perhaps that all the hard work I'm putting in is going to be for nothing and that I will have wasted money that I can barely afford to spend and a lot of time for nothing. I'm also afraid of messing up -- that I'm not doing the right things, or enough of the right things. And I'm scared of doing something wrong or illegal that will really hurt me rather than help me.
3) What do you think could help you the most in getting your message at the top rankings of the search engines? Do you think that matters? I think being near the top does matter, because I know most people don't search beyond 2 or 3 pages, at most. What can help me the most? Learning how to do things the right way.

new to forum. when i first started, i had to answer all the questions. but the minute i stepped into it, it clicked in my head.
the fears: as long as you are consciously working on the problems and finding the answers to your doubts, there is no fear. there are basically two if not three unknown areas: - spamming (email harvesting, hacking) - spend more time than money - spend more more money than time - unable to get the right support at the time of need (basically we worry we lose credibility) so, what i try to do is to keep well informed of current trends and changes as the internet world is always producing new things. (google has now got mobile alert and gsm tracking)!
what i need for improvement: definitely a technical nature, like video , subscriptions, handling letters, creating your own products....blah, but as long as it does not dampen my spirits, i will keep looking for answers if not I let it out of my pouch....no good to my spiritual being, not good for my wealth.
