So i'm trying to put an ebook together to accompany my GDI efforts...actually I already have the book ready i'm just looking for a good way to sell and track who's purchased it. i was thinking clickbank...I just don't like clickbank though. Is there anything else like click bank or another avenue I could use to get my ebook out to folks?

Why don't you like ClickBank? If I was to sell an ebook, I'd use ClickBank. Digital products are their specialty. Not only that, but when potential affiliates are looking for digital products to market, where do they go? Clickbank! You want to get as many people as possible selling your product for you right. Then you need to go to where they are. Clickbank pretty much is THE place for digital products.

My advice would be to try selling it on the Warrior Forum first. It has to be a deal for the members though, so either add something to the package or reduce the price a bit.
This way you will get loads of good quality reviews to add to your site, and also some feedback before you release it to the general public.

I guess I just see clickbank as a place where alot of scammers go to post garbage up and make a buck. I've said time and time again, any old joe and create an "e-book" and hype the hell out of a million dollar promise and make a buck. I view click bank as a site that does just that. I mean if there is no other way i'll consider it, but if their is an alternative i'd definately be interested.
I'm definately going to check out this forum you're talking about
thanks for the help.

There is indeed a lot of snake oil on ClickBank. However, the snake oil is short lived. If you've got a quality product and put it on ClickBank, you will get sales for a long time. Clickbank is just the medium. It's the individual users/sellers that make it good or bad. You can just decide to be one of the good ones!

There are ways to sell your e-book your self such as creating an opt in web page or just a squeeze page where you could offer to sell your e-book and in turn when they opt in you could send them some free material that could add value such as training or informational type things that people could benefit from. Then it would just be a matter of learning how to drive traffic to your page. I know many people who use this method and have been quite successful.

Thanks Breanne... that sounds like alot of work The one reason I DO like clickbank is because of the affiliate part of it. The other way I have to do all the leg work, whereas with click bank the affiliates do the selling.
I'm still trying to weigh out some options, i've even looked inot affiliate software...but I don't think I'm quite ready to make that leap yet.

I guess it can be a lot of work but once you get the hang of it it is pretty fun and easy too....just the learning part is the long process. Well good luck to you anyway, I hope you will find the thing that will work best for you.
