Have you googled using the term "freelance" as your search term? You may find some that way. I think there are a couple of sites that might work for you. One is called Mechanical Turk and the other, I think, is elance.com. I hope I have those names correct. It's been a while since I visited them.

I think there are a couple of folks here in the forum who do freelance writing, so take a look around and see if you can spot them.

All the best.

You could also try setting up a free blog at blogger.com and then signing up at PayPerPost, although this will probably take you some time....

I'd probably go with elance.com myself....

You can try freelance sites like GAF, RAC and Guru or Associated Content

If you like writing, you might try blogging, either for yourself or for someone else. There are paid blogging positions on the web.

If you can get published offline you get paid a lot more but that's hard to do. Otherwise Associated Content and Helium will pay you for online article submissions. Associated Content will pay you around five dollars for a well-written 500 word article. even more if AC is the only place you distrubute the article to and the article is totally original. It takes me about an hour to write a 500 page article but some people can write as many as 4 articles in an hour. (I don't see how they do it though).

I am a freelance writer and I suggest you get yourself a blog and a website, then go from there. You'll need some quality writing samples-most clients will ask for them. Check out Craigslist. Are your grammar and spelling skills top notch? Try posting a flyer in your student union offering editing services. Stay away from sites like Get a Freelancer, they are flooded with writers from India and other overseas areas who think getting $3 for 10 500 word articles is great money, and because of that, the pay is beyond peanuts.
If you have a hobby or interest you are passionate about, start a blog about it. I don't really recommend Associated Content-they don't pay much and are focused on content that generates ad clicks rather than good writing. Their reputation isn't that good. Hope this helps!

I know a few people who do the freelance thing. There are job postings on Craigslist and other classifieds, but sometimes work is hard to come by. The key is getting your name out there and scoring clients that you can keep around with dependable work. A friend of mine makes a very comfortable living doing nothing but writing newsletters, if you can believe it.

A couple of other sites you can get paid to write besides Associated Content are Helium and and new one called Xomba - HubPages and Squidoo are good to because you get paid for adsense ads and Amazon stuff they place on your page.

The most money you can make writing is of course writing for printed publications.

By far this is the most abundent work at home job available on the net, if you can write good, you need not to look a lot on net. go straight to writing section of craigslist.org and look there citywise, your problem is solved
