I use TrafficSwarm to promote a few affiliate links. I see Joel Broughton's PayForItForward program a lot, along with Stone Evan's PlugInProfit program. They seem to mirror each other, as near as I can tell ( I haven't joined either one. yet.) Has anyone compared and contrasted the strengths and weaknesses of each? This would include website design, products and their sellability (is that a word?) and their customer service. Thanks!

Broughton's system is derivative of Stone's, which preceeded it. Stone's customer support person is a friend of mine, a real sweet and helpful lady. I can put you in touch if you like or you can just join the Plug-in-profits support forum at the warriorforum.com and get in touch with her yourself.
The systems are basically similar as you have observed. They are both what we call "downline builders". I promoted Broughton's PIF4P a while back for awhile but it wasn't really my cup of tea and the bizops they promoted with it did not impress me... but thats really a very personal opinion and just because I don't care for GDI or Success University does not mean you cannot learn or prosper from either or both.

I am not familiar with Stone Evans system, although I have heard of it. I signed up for PIF4P's early on (1 1/2 years ago), and tried to follow the system.
Similar to malibumentor, it wasn't for me. I really didn't know enough then to understand why I didn't like it. I don't really know how to put this, but it just seemed "artificial" I guess. It seemed like the whole premise was flawed. I felt like it was just preying on desperate people looking for an online opportunity to earn an income. Once you were "sucked in" you were taught how to go and pull in other people who were desperate for an online opportunity. But you never really seemed to be building an actual unique business. I felt like I was on a treadmill that was taking me nowhere.
Remember, of course, that I had zero experience online at that point, so I may have just not understood the whole concept. There may be people here who can testify to doing well with the program and making a decent income.
I haven't looked at it again since I found SBI and started building niche web sites, but I will say this. I think Traffic Swarm and programs like it are a huge waste of time - another treadmill. It seems like those systems are just a bunch of people glancing at websites so that other people will glance at their website/opportunity, with the hopes of snagging someone along the way. It isn't "real" traffic because people are actually looking for what you have to offer. I hope that makes sense.
Anyway, that is just my humble opinion, for whatever it is worth. Not much, perhaps.

I thoroughly appreciate 'your humble opinions'. P4IF strikes me the same way it did you. No real system, just hope for a few more suckers! I assume your niche sites are in you signature line? Have they worked well?

YQuoting: jdlitwiller I assume your niche sites are in you signature line? Have they worked well? Yes, the first two sites are mine. I built them from the ground up using SBI. Have they worked "well?" I suppose that it depends on your definition of "well."
I am happy with the progress they are making. My chocolate site, which is my first one I started Dec. 2006 is ranked really well in the search engines. I have 25 pages in the #1 position with Google for their keywords, about 75 more in the top 10, and about 75 more in the top 30.
For a complete novice, I think that is pretty remarkable. It isn't because I am so good at it, but because I followed instructions.
Am I making a fortune? No. It's based on affiliate marketing, so I only make commissions on actual sales and, of course, get Adsense income, too. I bring in about $300-400 per month from that site.
My conversion rate isn't as high as I'd like. My fault, I think. I should have made my links more directly to the actual product being promoted on each page rather than to the affiliate home page. I think I probably lose my "prospects" when they have to do a further search. That's just a supposition on my part.
My second site is newer, September 2007. It is still in the building and growing stage. It is a hugely broader market so will probably take a lot longer to get the higher rankings I will need to bring in enough free traffic to make it really profitable, but I think it will be much more profitable than the first site if I can pull it off. Time will tell. Right now, that site is paying for itself already, so I am content to patiently persist with it.
I have a third site in the works. It is going to incorporate some network marketing products, so the profit margin should be higher. It is a bit different than the other sites, but in many ways, the building process is the same. Time will tell how all this works out for me. I haven't lost any money, so if it eventually flops I will only be out my time (not that time isn't valuable, but time is what I can afford to lose, not money at this point).
That may be more details than you were looking for, but I wouldn't want you to think I'm hugely successful money-wise and be disappointed when you find out how much time and effort goes into building niche sites, and how you have to patiently wait for your returns.
I will say this, too, regarding the initial topic in this thread. You get a sense of accomplishment building your own sites. You know you are actually building a real business, not just running on the treadmill.
Hope that helps.

lots of people say that stone evans plug in profit site is a cool one.
the testimonials are from real top guys....
i have read most of that stuff,.... will say you won't feel like pestering the poor newbie who is coming to earn online..
i think the best thing is to go to the warrior forum and watch the posts about it and google it ... and read the free e-books they are promoting... this will giev you a fair idea about what the PUDDING Is , the proof is in the eating , so no point guessing , read some of their free stuff, may be join their email list and see what they deliver and then decide

I am a member of Stone's PIPS program.
I am not saying it is good or bad. It is up to you to put in the effort. What i like about the PIPS is the training guide.
For a newbie like me, i learnt a lot of knowledge from the training guide. It taught me what are the internet marketing methods available.
