I am guessing you have looked at a ton of stuff and are wondering if there is really anything out there that is a good fit for you.
Am I right?
I have a feeling I am!
I do have a home business myself, but I think , right now, what you are looking for is the right fit for you, and I remember how frustrating it was till I found what was right for me!
A lot of these businesses on here are really good and there are successful people in all of them!
What I recommend is picking a few opportunities that strike your interest and thoroughly investigate them.
Hop onto any conference calls they have, go through their websites, ask questions......
keep an open mind, but do not be intimidated.
This is YOUR life and you want to find the right fit...
What you will discover as you do this, is that it will all start making sense to you. You will begin to understand how the home business industry works and will be able to determine which one will best fit your own circumstances.
I hope this helps someone out there!

This is true, but alot of people think for some reason they don't need to hear the calls, they don't need to study, or attend online training, and then they wonder why they ain't making no $$$.
It is a job, just like the one you are at now, only it is YOUR biz, and is much more rewarding when you get it figured out. Yes it requires time and effort but it gets easier and easier when you apply all your training to the program you like/want.
You didn't start at your current position and just wing it.. And top sales peole that you envy/admire that make it look easy apply all they learn, attend seminars and confrences and learn even more. I am fortunate to be involved with programs that have excellent training and support for their members. And my own personal team gets support and help from me as well as our group, so that we assure success to those that really want it.
It takes more than just siging up in a program and hope it works. Desire, passion, working smart, learning, and yes reading those self help books, and listening to those CD's, DVD's, and such from people who know what it takes, have been there etc. all are part of the road to success. And yes it does take Money to get where you are going, or you can just wait on the Lotto...
Too everyones Success in 08'

I think there needs to be a bit of balance. You definitely need to do your research and prepare, but you can spend too much time pumping yourself up with "self help" etc, info. and never actually get down to business.
In the end, you need to act, repeatedly. The process of learning will be ongoing, but it needs to be balanced by the actual doing. For me, I learn better as I do. Just a thought...

Hi, I'm new here, but this post was the first to catch my eye. I have been working from home for 2-3 years now, and what you guys mentioned here is totally correct. It still takes some hard work and discipline to make it happen at home. Of course, once you've put your time in, it sure is nice to spend the rest of it with the family!

People also need to understand that it takes commitment to your opportunity to achieve success. Of course it needs to be the right program for you. But 90 days of actively working a program that is right for you should beginning to breed some steady cash flow from that business. If not, it would certainly be time to move on.

And if you get involved with a scam operation you can work and work and work and maybe make ten dollars if you are lucky. Make sure you are getting involved with a legitimate company first. You will still have to work very hard, but at least you will get something in return. Remember too, many, legitmate opportinities online require no money to start, affiliate programs for example. Also remember - most scams DO require upfront money, although I guess there are a few programs that require a start-up fee that are legit. I get nervous when they start talking about 'secret' information that nobody else knows...

This is very true ~ otherwise why do people do the business if it does not work. With so many choices available it is wise to check them out first. This forum is a good place to start or see what a Google search has to say etc.
Some questions to think about... What is the upfront cost to start? Can I afford the monthly cost for at least six months? How many hours can I spend developing the business? Would I buy the products for the price I sell them for? Do I feel good selling this product or service?
If you can answer yes to these questions you are on the right track in finding that product or service that is right for you.
Your friend in success.

BigRich, this is somewhat true, but at the same time, if a program is worth getting involved in at all, it has to provide a way for you to at least get started making some money right from the beginning. Even if that beginning amount of money is somewhat small, you've got to be able to get started right away. The idea that you have to study for weeks and months before you can even think about making a dime isn't going to help anybody very much.

HI, I'm new here. I'm just starting out so am looking for help. The one thing I have learned is that even if I'm afraid to do something online that once I force myself to do it, it becomes so much easier. Someone told me that no one or nothing is perfect so just do something - right or wrong - you'll know what to do next time. I hope I can be of help to someone, also.

I agree with you Nancy. I don't think anything is more effective than just getting started and doing something!

Just don't get started in online gambling, ofc. You'll be finished before you know it, lol. (Sadly, speaking from experience here...)
