Well, heres a little background about me;
I have the website, but not sure what I am supposed to put on it...
I just came into this whole concept a few days ago. I built a website, and put different products on it, trying to make affiliate commissions.
In the beginning, I put electronic products, and yesterday I added affiliate links to a couple E-books.
I am really trying to make this work, because I have seen other peoples personal success stories of making hundreds of dollars everyday.
I would be happy with making $50 a day.
Today, I signed up for Affiliate Marketing 2.0 , which cost me $29.99 per month. ( I don't think ill be able to afford it after this month. ) And I was trying to get as much information out of it in 1 month that I could.
Please help me out guys, I got the website, just don't know what to put on it.

Do what you love and believe in and the money will follow. Put yourself in a visitor's shoes. Would you buy from that site? Why or why not. Make sure you have a lot of quality content. Don't offer too many products on a single site.

I agree with not having too many things on your site. Your sales (landing page) should usually have only 3 items of similar type on it.

Most people do not make 100's of dollars everyday, there is no magic formula , try out various options and see what works.

Focus you efforts on tweaking your website until you are earning $5 - $10 per day consistantly. The key here is to focus just on the one website. Once you are earning that consistant $5-$10 /day then start a second website and repeat the process. Focus on that second website until you are earning the same.
Keep repeating this process untill you have 5 - 10 websites each earning $5-$10 /day. Before you know it you will have your $50 /day. The key is to follow a business model like this one and to build your business. It will help you to actually write out your busines model and your goals.

Thanks for all the detailed information. I read that post in the link you gave me before, and it really didn't mean much to me ( I didn't really understand it) . When I just read it for a 2nd time a minute ago, it was really powerful!
I feel like it just smacked me in the face, really thanks a lot for all your great tips!

Hi nubtoast,
I was wondering what site you were referring to that you are using to experiment with affiliate products. Is it the ones in your signature?
$50 per day is not an unreasonable goal, but it is not something that will happen overnight. At least not for the majority of us.
My first goal was anything!  Then it was a dollar a day, then $10 per day, and so forth. If you give yourself smaller goals then you can feel you are achieving things and making progress.
The best free material I read on affiliate marketing is the free Affiliate Master's Course in my signature.
The best paid material I've read is the SBI action guide. (The video is even better as I prefer "show me.")
I'm not familiar with the Affiliate Marketing 2.0 you mentioned. I use SBI, of course, and it is an annual fee that works out to $25 per month. It includes your domain and hosting as well as all the tools, tracking, and search engine submitters, and a whole lot more.
Even so, if you just read the free Affiliate course I mentioned, it may be able to co-ordinate with this other program you've got and help you make more sense of the whole concept.
I don't think $50 a day is asking a lot. You can do it. Just find a plan you are confident with and keep working at it.

Hi there. Are you the same happywife that was on Holly Mann's forum? If you are, I think I remember you.
I suggest you focus on lots of new original content, and on getting traffic to your site. The more original, relevant, content, the more traffic you will get. The more relevant backlinks, the better.
Once you have lots of traffic you can worry about how you monetize your site. But put yourself in the visitor's shoes. If your site is too full of ads, will they stay there?

Yep, that's me. I'm sure I'm not the only happy wife around  , but I've been a member of Holly's forum for over a year.
The questions you responded to weren't mine, but the advice you gave is sound. That is certainly the way to go for anyone trying to build a successful site.

Find a good mentor would be my first piece of advice, the right one can make or break you. Next stay focused as people have said, doing ONE thing just ONE thing at a time. IF you try to rush it you'll be very overwhelmed, I know I was. Set a goal for a week from now, (i.e. To have my site up) month from now(TO be marketing in 3 areas), and then 3 months(To be making $x.xx a day) and so forth and so on.

After almost a month seriously get into this venture(Have been involve about a year ago but never get serious. Due to work and less committement I guess), I spent my time research, and got myself Holly Mann ebook as a start to hopefully get a grid of what's the best work for me.
I believed in getting one project to start with at one time, and work towards that project till completion. Till completion here mean at least there's a traffic directed, and done enough with advertising and actively involve in the discussion. Project can be constructing website or creating blog etc.
I am not sure if what I am doing or thinking is correct or not. Please advise if there's other idea out there for me to explore.

I strongly agree on constructing your website and getting it operational and with traffic directed as your first concern.
Make sure you are starting with the right keywords. This is too crucial to tell.

This is something a lot of new people don't get. You need a reason for people to be on your site besides buying something or clicking your ads.
If you niche is "guitar lessons", have some tips. Write an ebook on how to learn to play. Put links to interesting guitar music on youtube. Run a poll on whether Steve Vie was better than Jimi Hendrix (of course he wasn't ). Invite people to participate in your site somehow.
The difference between making some money once and making a steady income is making your site somewhere people want to come back to. If your site is nothing but an ad with some adsense on it, they won't bookmark and certainly won't tell anyone else to go there, but if you can make it somewhere they like visiting then they will be more likely to respond to the money side of your site. After all, if they like your site, they figure your taste is the same and they will like whatever you're advertising.

Interesting you spoke of guitar stuff in the way you did. My Music Resource site offers those things and more. My guitar lessons site focuses more on just giving away free guitar lessons. It's a lot less interactive than the Music Resource site, but there is a little interactivity. I'm adding to it every day.
