I signed up for plug-in-profit, and Host-for-profit sites to start my online business. Everythingh in the app looked ok, and waited like a day or 2 wondering if I did everything right, but still never seen my webpage up.
Being the moron I am, I did send a few q's in emails wondering if all was done ok, and showing my ID#s were in the emails. I did end up resigning the initial application, as stated from the help desk, and then I realized I was the one completely at fault.
Turns out I didn't finish the second order form as N/A when I didnt want the additional web traffic to my site 'just yet' as I was spending all my cash to get a new business on here running. And I do have bills to pay, along with a dear wife and daughter to support.
So as a token of my sincerely dumb@$$ed feelings that I screwed my application up and all the babbling and worry on my side was my own....
I dub myself as.... (tahhh dahhhhhhhs ) the internet's THICKEST Skull award reciepient, (or the biggest $^$@head, its a matter of taste I guess.) and get a small trophy of a skunk holding a unplugged mouse in paw, wondering why nothing was working... ^^)
Now, to keep the mood light hearted.... offer some things either you, your co worker next to you, or the tech person helping someone like me get into business that barely knows how to use a mouse. Offer stories or light hearted situations either you, or the one next to you suffered through. ^^
I sincerly do hope the programs are indeed idiot proof to the point of being Skunk proof.....
To Stone at PluginProfits, and Steve and the tech help desk @ Host4Profits I offer a heart felt apology.
Gomen nasai.... Kimono-skunk aka kimmy-skunk (not as formal as Kimono)

Well.... I was just pointing out that I felt like an idiot. When I thought I had signed all the forms to join a affiliate program, when I hadnt. And was worried myself without any reason.
just a little fun poked at myself for being an idiot.^^

Don't be too hard on your self - mistakes happen. Several times, I've published a website to the wrong hosting account - I caught the errors on time, but if I had not, people looking for weight loss would have ended up on a "make money online" website. Brialliant.

I'm looking to avoid mistakes for a while. I have mad way too many lately. When you buy all these products and put up the website do you really start making money like they say you will?

Oh yes I do know that now.... smiles. And reading and re reading the account info, and all the pages with the help desks of each site did clear everything up, and my site is now online. (YAY- insert applause here)
The link will be in my signature.
Again I do thank the academy for this award.... err... ok wrong comment ^^. The Help desks and staff for these 2 sites were VERY kind and helpful to me getting started.
Sodas for everyone ^^.

Kimono,
I thought that "Stone Evans" was suppose to do all the set up with the Plug in Profits deal. You should be able to sleep and make money this gig. I almost signed up because I like the whole packaged sytem concept. I just didn't like the monthy fees that came along with it. I decided to search out something that would allow me to start from Zero and invest profits as they occured.
"I like it FREEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!"

I'm not sure if your question was directed at me or someone else, but for teh record, with affiliate marketing, its not necessary to purchase products up front - you can promote affiliate products for free.

One time while I was editing my website I was also typing an email to one of my friends. I copied and pasted it to Google and then sent the email. I went back to working on my site and then forgot I had copied that email. So I right clicked and pasted it on my site thinking it was a link. Needless to say I didn't see my error before I published the page online. When I checked it the next day there was my personal email to my friend right in the middle of my website. Hehe...it was an easy fix but imagine if that email had been to my fiance or something and had something naughty in there. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

Oh I agree about liking free stuff... but his website and all the doodads are indeed free. All you do pay for is the hosting... I think for the small hosting cost, I got an incredible website with some great offers.
Im gonna start getting some free ads in craigslist going and also from my personal web blogs I am in...

Could you get the marketing system and then put a Power Mall banner on the landing page?
Power Mall comes with lots of cool banners and lots of marketing tools but:
"I don't want to work, I just want to shop at the mall all day"

Don't worry about making mistakes, we all do it. The key is being open enough to admit your errors (which you did in a BIG way, haha), and then learning from your experiences. I'm sure almost anyone here can think of a dumb mistake we did with our businesses.
I for one am too embarrassed to mention some of mine!

I just joined Plug In Profit. Can anyone tell me how they're doing with this...honestly? There are recurring monthly hosting fees and a couple of the suggested programs have recurring monthly fees. Before I pay fees next month to continue these services, I want to know if it's worth it. Comment????

Nobody ever gets any products for free. And when you're doing affiliate marketing, YOU never have to deal with the products at all. That's the beauty of it.
I don't know about PIP, but at Wealthy Affiliate you are not paying for a marketing system. As a matter of fact, you don't get any kind of marketing system at all at Wealthy Affiliate. Instead, you get all kinds of educational resources. Those resources teach you principles and methods, but it's up to you to actually implement some of them. There is no mindless step-by-step exercises at WA. You have to do quite a bit of thinking actually.

The only way not to make mistakes is to not do anything. Plus one nice thing about internet marketing is you can always correct your mistakes and move on.
At least this has worked out that way for me and all of the mistakes I have had made over the years.

If it's any consolation, there's always a bigger idiot somewhere, lol. Heaven knows I've done some pretty dumb things myself...
