1. GDI Because it's cheap and you can use it to use affiliate marketing(Check the signature)
2. Mypowermall because buy stuff and get your firends to buy stuff that they already buy with one exception, you get a small commision. It's 100% free so it's a good learning place.
3. Click bank. Again free and easy to use with a blog or yuwie, or myspace and you learn the do's and don't s of afffiliate marketing.
Side note: the last two are ok, but for the most part you are on your own. With GDI you have a mentor to help yuo on the way.

Hopefully some more people add their 2 cents..it would be nice to get some sort of list compiled of everybody's favorite 3...also are there any R E A L programs that has a small startup fee which would provide free web hosting with no monthly cost? If this is not possible ..can I get some suggestions on R E A L programs that would provide very cheap web hosting so that I can start some affiliate marketing? thanks Brian

Hi Brian,
You asked for the top three - you should get quite a few responses here with time! It'll be interesting
Bottom line is that there are so many home business opportunities out there, and there are successful people in all of them - what I encourage you to do is find the one that is right for you - and then put your head down and work it like a business!
If you get started in something and treat it like a hobby, it will cost you like a hobby but if you treat it like a business it will pay you like a business!!
Good luck in your search! ~Viola

Hi Brian! Newbie here! I have gone through all the 4 corners of the Internet Marketing world scrutinizing all the programs I have seen in every click of my mouse. Choosing the right program really took up a lot of my time this year (May-July), and have been "slightly" scammed in the process. Slightly because I was offered easy money upfront with just writing a few data here and there but didn't tell me that I would need a lot of learning to do and up to now have not opened that ebook (about adwords) again(yet) because I know from my "investigation" it would cost me a lot of money if I don't know what I am doing.
Choosing the right program for you depends a lot on where you stand right now. Are you familiar with what you are reading here in the forums? Are you computer savvy? Do you know what HTML, java, PHP means? It all depends on your background.
But if you are like me (real newbie to internet marketing and untech-savvy ), I suggest you choose a program that would teach you everything about this business (comprehensive course)from the basics up to the stuff that is really for the long haul. And most importantly ARE YOU UP TO THE CHALLENGE?. This business involves precious time, dedication, work and learning. The "autopilot" thing is after you have established yourself and have applied all the "secrets" (work) in this business.
I got Profit Lance course last August 21 (still learning from it) but have already started applying some of it to get me started and I can say that from a complete newbie and untech-savvy, I just had my first earning from internet marketing on Sept 15 (barely a month from the date of purchase). Good Luck!
Work Hard and Play Hard!

Yes I've heard really good things about profit lance and income4beginners. Yes advoc I can get around on my pc pretty good ..but I don't know any code of any sort so I'm not technical..I think a comphrensive course is in order for me. Thanx Mountainmom that is my intention but it does take a while to sift through the many programs to choose the right one for you. Plus I'm sure certain programs have a higher success rate than others-- those are the ones I want! Hemjoe and makemoneyonline how long did it take you to make your first profits with profit lance and honest riches?

I'd steer clear of income4beginners.
I've given my reasons elsewhere.

Looking at other member's signatures are a great way to see all the different businesses out there. I think newbies can do a terrific job with any program given the right training and tools.

Honestly, I think the number one place for you to start out earning money online is Wealthy Affiliate. The sign up cost are dirt cheap, the learning resources are excellent, and the support is unbeatable.
A lot of other "opportunities" out there are scams, so I wouldn't waste your money.
If you are looking for two more choices, I'd recommend Honest Riches or Get A Grip Marketing (written by yours truly) - both are great for newbies, but not as good as Wealthy Affiliate.

First couple of months i sifted through all the content on the course learning and understanding the whole process because i was what you could call a complete beginner back then. Then after that it didn't take long to make small amounts of money but hardly anything to write home about. Due to time i have i barely spend 3 hours a week working on the profit lance course but even so my sales increase every month

If you want a no-cost or cheap way to start a business, I like a combination of blogging and affiliate marketing. This obviously works particularly well if you are a strong writer or have good knowledge on a topic.
You can get a free blog at blogger.com or set up a page at squidoo.com, share you thoughts, and recommend related products.
That's just one idea among many others, but just try what sounds the most fun and interesting for you.

I think the best advice I can give is to first concentrate on list building around a niche that you choose. You can find tons of resources on that. Then, you have to learn to create a relationship with your list and give them information of value. Finally, (once you've earned the right) you can offer your list products of value and that in turn makes money for you.
Build your list, build your list, build your list. Do a Google search for Tellman Knudson and you will run across his blog and resources on list building. It's great.
Todd
