I never thought I could be making money from home. I started my business almost a year ago. I worked in corporate America. I never thought being a HBB owner was real, if anything I thought it was a real Joke.
Today my opinion has changed, I'm proud to say I am a Internet Entrepreneur.
My advice is do your home work BEFORE investing one thin dime!!! Ask Hard and Pointed questions. Keep an open mind and listen to the answers.
When all is said and done then make your decision. Don't just jump into something and don't let the person you're talking to Bully YOU!!!
Be upfront and honest with the person (Don't waste yours or their time. It's unfair to both of you.)
Best of Luck.
Warm Regards and God Bless you, JenaV

Hi PCwork (from scam brds?)
I'm encouraging ppl to do their homework. Not just rollover. My opinion is Bias (of course) Because what I do, is what is working for me.
But... What works for me, doesn't always work for someone else.
So keep your pencil sharp, your eyes & mind open.

Congrats on your success Jena!
It's always great to hear the success stories!
It is possible to be successful if you:
#1 Don't give up and (this is very important) make the decision that you are going to be successful at whatever you decide to do!
#2 Find someone who is successful already and who will take the time to work with you 1 on 1 and mentor you!
I encourage everyone to shoot for your dreams like Jena!
Warmly,
Brian McCoy President, CEO McCoy Marketing Group

Congratulations Jena
I agree with Brian on his two points. You can't give up after only a month or two if you're not making wads of cash. Most businesses have startup time till they begin opperating in the green.
A mentor is always the best way to go. It's hard to fail when someone who is in the trenches is helping you watch out for grenades if you know what I mean.

Hi OD
I had a startup, but I work my biz very pt 8-10hrs. I've been in business a year as of 9/14/06 with my Director. I've made over $30,000 in my bank account, plus 1 training sale. I will be a released director soon. My profits will be $1000, $3200 and $9705.
Right now I can only make $1000 & $3200, until my last training sale. Then I can make $9705 commissions. The greatest thing is I never have and never will share my commissions!
So will I give up (heck no) I came in at the top, just so I could benefit immediately.

Thank you for the words of encouragement.
One has to look at their work from home venture with the willingness to learn, to apply and to adjust. But most importantly you must surround all of this with perseverance.
The effort that we put into the successes of our lives must be applied to our internet businesses.
I have been married for 39 years and I have one the most successful marriages there is. Why?
Because my wife and I did not quit when the going was difficult. Apply this same willingness to make your business successful. It will happen in time.

Hello JenaV,
Way to go on your business success. I am just getting started on my Internet Business. Right now I am building my list, but, I am still not sure what opportunity to promote. There are to many scams out there, but, reading posts like yours reassures me that it can be done.

Good Morning Bob022,
I'm glad to hear positive feedback. I strongly suggest for everyone to do their own homework. By asking pointed questions, and keeping an open mind (especially when investment is required).
Meaning... Don't close the door when you find out there is upfront, (out of pocket cost). Every Real Business has investment. (Banks have Loans for this, they are called "Small Business Loans") The information is Free. Get all information you can. At that point it's always your call if you want to do that business. Don't let anyone bully you. Wishing you and everyone the very best!
Hugs, Jena

You need to PICTURE yourself doing the business. Can you see yourself using the tools offered to become successful? Are you comfortable talking about your product? Can you easily explain exactly how you intend to make money? If the picture seems foggy, don't jump in until all details are clear. In order to avoid frustrations down the road, you need to enter any business arrangement with you eyes wide open.
To anyone out there looking for an opportunity, you need to commit to your business. You need to educate yourself and implement a plan of action. Set your goals and don't let anyting stand in your way.

Great post Jena. Congratulations. I did internet marketing part time for 4 years and have been full time now for about 1 1/2. I agree that you really have to do your homework.
The other thing I would add is never spend any money you can not afford to lose. Especially on advertising. You can go broke pretty darn fast and not have anything to show for it.

That work for a Big Budget to No Budget!
With the CWB we really enjoy hearing others succeed in their business & we take great joy in knowing we were part of that.
This is why NO testimony is ever too small. Even my 30k in my 1st year.
BTW Happy Birthday to Me!!! 9-14-06 was the day I started my business!!! I'm 1 year old.

Great posts Jena.
These exchanges remind us all that we have to look at this as a REAL business and like all REAL businesses we must view them as a marathon - not a sprint. And, we have to be willing to invest our time and money into our business. If we're not willing to do that then how can we expect our customers to do so?

Great advice Jena. When newbies startout on the internet they enter expecting over night riches, not entirely because they are being rediculously unreasonable, but because that's what alot of the websites they see tell them.
So they jump at every opportunity and end up dissappointed and give up.
I think getting the right advice is key, and forums like work-at-home.com are great ways to get it.
Thanks.

Congrats, I'm glad to hear people are doing well. Planning for success is certainly an important step that few people take. Remember that you need a balance of planning and a willingness to take action.
Be prepared with your battle plan, and be courageous enough to go out there and take action.

I'm so excited. This last year has been incredible to say the least! I'm surrounded by Successful & Upbeat People everyday.
We share the same Goal... To share the Wealth of Coastal, which was shared with me and my family. We have a pay it forward attitude.
* I fully Support my Team. I do all 3way follow ups and Closing calls with my New Team mates
* I buy the 1st batch of leads for my associates
* I pay a commission to new associates on their Training Sales (which are 2 training sales at Level of entry, but they get to keep all profits below the higher levels.).
* I help with every transaction.
Because of the CWB Accelerated Director's Program. You are able to start seeing results immediately.
I'm here for questions.
Warm Regards, Jena Vasquez Platinum Director 505-205-1451

Congrats Jena!!!! I can feel the excitement in your post. Keep it up!
Gchildren......Great advice on staying married for that long!
I approach my business the same way......the only way I can fail is if I give up and giving up is not an option.
Also, never give up, because success could be right around the corner and when you give up, you'll never know it.

I have a few questions for our leaders and then some suggestions for everyone looking at getting started in the home business arena.
For the leaders:
Are we training our members to be independent or to just follow what we say?
Are are in this business for time freedom ?
Can we teach our team what we know so they can duplicate our results?
I look at my team like most look at their children. When we raise our children we respect them and want to help them as much as we can but want them to grow up and be able to do things on their own. They gain self confidence when they achieve with our help. That self confidence is priceless. As leaders we should never lose sight of that. I have many team members that just want me to make their calls so they can get qualified and then make money. Well if I just make the calls and not let them learn by trial and error I do them a big disservice.
Now for our new people:
Pick a leader that will train you but will also show you how to be self sufficient. Imagine if your leader goes on vacation and really wants to be on a true vacation. Not one where we answer calls and hold forums but a true vacation to recharge their batteries. Well if they have trained you right you can handle things on your own. I teach my team something very simple in the very beginning. That is that the websites and our live calls are your best friends. We all have amazing websites in no matter what opportunity you join. These sites usually have all the answers or at least enough of an answer to explain most questions. Then we have live support calls where PROVEN leaders in the industry will answer questions. That is the nature of our business. Its made to be more automated and give us what we want back. That is time with our families.
As we all strive to be the best to our teams it is important we make our team members grow up to be self sufficient as well. It is easy to lose ourselves in all of the training we feel we owe to our new members. I speak from experience. I used to host a conference call for 6 hours a day to do calls with my team. Then I was on my live conference calls. Then I did my own calls. Oh I forgot to mention I was on my opportunities leadership as well and had duties there. Now I made a bunch of money but I had no time for myself. I changed my approach and now teach my team how to use a system that gives them the tools they need as well as gives them their time freedom.
These are just my views and opinions but they have served me well. I hope they help our leaders and our new prospects looking to get into this exciting world of home based business.

The key to success in a HBB is to get into a top tier program after doing your due diligence. Reasons? Because it will be a good investment of your time and money!
In a top tier program you get paid more faster.
The other key is to get a automated system and ADVERTISE! The winning combination? A toptier program with an automated system already combined and than advertise.
Key is to get a succcessful system already proven to convert sales. A system that was designed by powerful individuals who know what they are talking about.
As a travel agent my niche is travel being a travel agent money can be slow at times so I looked into selling membership pkgs, an alternative to timeshares, being able to offer my clients luxury 5 star resorts to rent per week along with personalized service, because thats what clients are looking for they do NOT like to have to fill out vouchers and wait and than fill out yet more forms and than wait and not even know what property they would be staying at nor able to see the property online. After 8 frustrating months with this company I switched over to a much better alternative!
The company I am now offering along with a proven sales system is exactly what I had been looking for! Sales are easily made because of the awesome product and the sales system that converts.
BUT the key to success with that and any business, as I said before is ADVERTISE! There are so many places to advertise so be selective, choose high ranking sites first.
I learned so much with my current company I amazed and I considered myself a experienced marketer but found that training by the right people and teams in the right company is KEY!
Blessings, Terri

Good Morning Adam Let me do my best to answer your Awesome questions.
1. My answer is Yes I'm training them to be independent, but at the same time I'm with my associate until THEY feel they can do it on their own. CIMS let's them plug in and train at Their pace. I'm here for support and 1 on 1 inquiries.
2. Are are in this business for time freedom ? what do mean, just a little confused on this one.
3. My answer is Yes. System are duplicable, but not people and I realize this, so I plug them into all of the Tools available.
I hope this was useful.

That is really great information. I am really happy for you. I have started a homebased business and am doing very well. The one important thing people must remember is that these things take time.
