Somebody please help me to find a legitimate non-scam job, preferably something not too hard to do using my computer where I really make money and do not spend a fortune to get going. I don't want to pay a lot to start being able to receive money in case it does not fulfill its promises.
I tried one where the company sets up a website for you automatically with links on it to different work-at-home opportunities. The only problem is you have to pay about $750 per month to Yahoo in order to get traffic to your website -- which they do not tell you to begin with. I don't want anything like that. Please, please help me find something real that doesn't cost a lot of money to set up!!!
Thank you, Heather

Well it all depends on how much you are looking to make each month?
Im only 19 and i've been searching for ways to create a full time income until I can really decide what I want to do in life.
One thing I do is off a site called associated content. Basically you write articles for this site and they pay you. They don't pay for just anything but its a good site. They like up to date related topics..not specific news stuff usually because of competition from sites like CNN and Foxnews. They also like local stuff, how to guides, product reviews etc.
You can check out the link in my signature down below to get an idea for some of the articles i've done.
I also have been using some GPT sites. It would take a long time to explain what to do but you can email me at [email protected] and I can show you which GPT sites I use and what to do.

Find your niche and create a content rich website dedicated to that. That is the best work at home job. Do not look for short cuts. Those who promise to make you rich overnight make you poor over a period of time.

Hi Heather,
Give Sean a chance but if what he has to offer you doesn't appeal to you, please, for your sake, don't throw the baby out with the bath water. I know a legitimate way you can truly make decent money on the internet with minimal effort and I can help you get set up easily.
Keep me in mind okay?

Hi heather,
i am in a similar boat, and ive had a lot of false starts with an internet business. I think the best thing to do is play to your strengths. If you like writing, create a blog and put up ads, or do freelance writing from home. if you have specialised knowledge about something, create a website, write an ebook, start a newsletter. You could also try your hand at recruiting members for other work-at-home opportunities on the net, but always start with something free. That's what I'm doing at the moment, using a free opportunity, and getting other people to do that too. It all depends on your skills and what you like doing. If you want to know what I'm doing, look at my signature. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Heather, The first thing you tried was a good idea in theory, but not in reality because of a couple basic problems. First of all, a site about work at home opportunities is going to be VERY tough to succeed with because the market is absolutely flooded. The competition is way to fierce. You probably won't make much money by trying to tell other people how they can make money, if you see what I mean.
The problem was that you were paying for traffic (and probably not getting much of a return on that). If you build yourself a site about a particular niche (narrow topic), you will generate traffic naturally through the search engines because of your good quality content.
Think about what you love, your hobbies, your particular interests, what you are already good at, etc. Then consider building a website about one of those things. I built and continue to build my sites with a program called SBI. They make the process fairly simple by having all the tools in place and walking you through it step by step to a full fledged income generating site.
Their fee is $299 for the year, which includes everything - literally. I haven't paid any extra for advertising, etc. My first site which isn't even a year old received over 8000 visitors last month. The system works because they "keep it real" which works like a charm.
I just started a second site this week, and I can't wait to see how it goes. I hope this helps you see the possibilities of what you can do. If I can help you further, just send me a note.

Hey Heather I'm in the same situation as you I live in remote Australia & for the past couple of days I have been wandering though the work at home jungle not knowing what's good & what's not, I work in community radio & I am moving closer to our studio soon so I wont have to commute all the time.
I have also been studying IT for the past 2 years but everything I have been studying I already knew which was frustrating, I am looking for a PC based home business as I am not able too drive & my poor health restricts me from working full time.
I have looked into data entry & typing from home but all the sites I have found seem too be scams so I don't want to throw money away as I am on a disability pension, I have studied Commercial Radio so I do keep with what's happening in the news on a daily basis.
I am open to any suggestions which you may put forward to myself & Heather so I hope you can help both of us get started.

Hello,
I can help! Im with a company called The Verification Cetner. I paid nothing to start working with them and nothing to work with them. Another good thing is I don't have to sell anything!
This is what I do, I call people who have entered a contest, I verify their information and set an apt for them to go get their prize. I make around 500 to 700 bucks a week, so make more than me but Im doing pretty well. They are hiring now so if this is of interest to you go to my supervisors website www.tackettllc.com good luck!

I have found that the home businesses I have looked into all tend to promote weight loss products, Is there any companies that deal with computer equipment and electronics as I do know a little bit about that kind of thing.

Casper, How about building your own website based on your knowledge and interest in computers and electronics? You may want to get a bit more specific than that to really "own" your niche, but it can be done.
You wouldn't even have to sell your own products. You could write a review site about a specific type of electronics (High Def. TV's or something, I don't know). Then when you compile a number of quality content pages, you can add Adsense and affiliate links to generate income. It is very do-able if you follow a step-by-step process.
I'm having a great time. I hope that gives you some food for thought, and perhaps a little help.

No problem. I hope you will go for it. Even if you have never built a site, don't let that put you off. I had no experience at all, but the hosting (etc.) service I use took me step by step through the process so it was possible. I'm really happy with my first site and just started that second one (in my signature) last week. It is coming along nicely although I haven't gotten to the place of monetizing it yet.
If you have any specific questions, just ask. You can even email me if you like.

Casper, Yes, I did create those websites myself. The first two, anyway, the third one is the link to the system I used to learn learn how to do it step by step that I mentioned earlier. Truth be told, I still don't know how to do all the technical stuff, and at this point, I still don't want to.
I used one of the prepared templates and their tools to to add all of my information, links, graphics, etc. I'm still amazed at how far I've come in less than a year, but I don't know if I will ever get to the point where I want to learn to design my own templates, etc.
If you already know how to do that, you can still use the system that I use and just upload your own html, etc. They have it set up either way. They encourage experienced webmasters to try out the program, because, as I am sure you discovered there is a lot more to a successful website business than just a nice web design.
You have to consider how to build keyword focused content pages that the search engines will automatically send traffic to, as well as submitting your pages to the engines in an appropriate and timely fashion, getting links back to your site to increase your rankings, etc., etc.
I didn't know how to do any of that, but the tools they have integrated into their system does half of it for you, and the other half that has to be done manually, they tell you exactly how to do it right. That is what I needed. I especially love their video tutorial as I can "get it" easier when they show me rather than tell me.
Hope that helps. Check out the third link in my signature if you want to see more of what the system offers.
By the way, I live in Australia, too.
Cheers.
