Hiya,

I am wanting to open a Ironing Shop in Hertford, I have the funds but no experience. I wondered if anyone could help me with advice on what to do and where to start, also if I was to do dry cleaning can I outsource this to another company?

Any advice welcome.......

Kind regards,

Tammy.

I have an ironing business from home and love it. I have built it since Aug. of '05 and am now ready to take it up a step after the holidays. I would love to talk to others in this or related area. Everyone I tell about my business at first says "what...? you are crazy" but as I explain it they end up saying "you are a genius" So off I go. Good luck with yours.

Hi,
I live in a very small town and our Flower shop actually outsources our dry cleaning so I know it is possible.

I am thinking of doing this but do I need to register for tax and have insurance?
I don't really want to get insurance if it is expensive and then the business isn't successful but then I don't want to be breaking any laws either.

I think that perhaps it would be best to try and get a part time job in a dry cleaners and then learn about the business that way - then venture off on your own from there.
