Hi Heather~

My hubby and I are making great money from home! We can make up to $250 per sign up and our company pays DAILY! We are with a solid, 13 year old company that is a member of the BBB. Scam- free here! We have always been paid on time. We get paid 2 ways. We market very affordable health benefits and we also get paid for enrolling other brokers who want to work from home. We are currently running a special (starting Monday Oct 10th) which will put our health benefits at 1/2 price for any new member's 1st month and also their registration fee will be waived! What this means is that this is the PERFECT time to start as a broker with us. With health benefits starting as low as $5.95 (for an individual) or $9.95 (for a whole household) for their 1st month, you could sign up a ton of people! We usually only run this kind of special once a year! If you would like more info on becoming a broker, or if you need affordable health benefits, please visit the website in my signature link. Wishing you all the best!

Hi Heather, when you are looking for a business do a lot of research before you hand over your hard earned money. If it looks too good to be true it really is
The best thing to do is give some thought to what kinds of things you would enjoy. Do you like scrapbooking, sewing, selling etc. Do you want to do home parties or something strictly online? How much time and money do you want to invest?
There are a lot of options, running a website, direct sales, ebay etc. but none of them will work for you if you aren't enjoying what you are doing.

Howdy.

Have a look at my website (below in my signature). I've written a couple of articles recently with a couple of ideas on how to get started working from home. Let me know if they're helpful at all.

Cheers,
Gary

I totally agree with photomom. One thing i would recommend is at first figure out a budget of how much you can afford to lose a month. The reason being is that most businesses you will lose money before you start making and to be successful at any your have to spend some money. Also if you look into an affliate type business try to get on a team that will be willing to help you and train you. There are alot of them out there where you sponsor is just going to for numbers. If your with a good team of people you will act as a team and work together to be successful. I hope this information is helpful and wish you the best of luck with your choice.

I don't agree with looking at your budget first. You should look at your personality FIRST Every business opportunity out here has it's successes and failures. EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM! So you need to ask yourself this few questions:

1. I'm I social or anti-social?
2. Do I have the time to really do this?
3. Do I have the commitment?
4. Can I be a Leader?
5. Do I have the support? (friends, family..not bus. partners)
6. Can I give what was giving to me in this business?

Your budget will fall into play after all these questions have been answered, because it doesn't matter if it cost $1 to $1000, if you don't REALLY like the business, you will fail.

I agree with your post also philena all except #5. There are alot of businesses out there that no one is going to support you. I've dealt with that before. Alot of people think conservative at least where i'm from and consider going into business a risk. But if you feel you can answer those questions posted in a positive manner. Then you will do well at whatever one you choose.

Oh no.. I didn't mean no support from the business or your partners, this is before you get started. questions like "I'm thinking of starting my own business and would like to know if I have your support?" This should be ask with your loved one so you know who's behind you 100%, and who is not. Then you have the motivation to keep moving forward in reaching your goals. Unfortunately, this will not guarantee they will be your future customers, so it's really about your state of mind.

For example, my cousin is one of my faithful customers and very supportive in what I'm doing. My mom is very negative and wants me to go back to my regular J.O.B. So when I'm feeling a lit' down about my business, I'm going to call him first. He will lift my spirits up and I will get going, so when my mom says something negative it will be easier to block her out.

What if I didn't call my cousin when I was down, and just let my mom get to me? You know what happens... I will start listening to her and quit. It happens all the time. It's all about being prepared for the worst. You need two solutions to one problem.

According to me Philena, it's ok to rely on support, some times in life, but not depend on it.

I mean, what if your cousin has some bad experiences and suddenly starts seeing things negatively and discourage you from what you are pursuing?

You should always try to derive your strength from your inner self. How often have you had that gut feeling to do something. No matter how many discouraged you, you still pursued that. I'm talking about that feeling, that motivation. All of us can get that strength. It's only when we start listening to our inner voice, meditate, that we begin to grow more confident and stronger.

Of course... That's what I mean. I really didn't say rely or depend on it. It's just the point of knowing. Like you said, what if everyone you asked that question said, "NO, I think what you're doing is stupid!" Ok... now you know... move on.

If my cousin had a bad experience and cancelled.. Ok... now I know.. move on.

It's just about your state of mind. Alot of people quit before they get started. Like within months! You know that. They not listening to their inner self.

The motivation I was talking about, was not from them exactly, just that you are aware of them. It makes a difference.

If someone didn't tell me to be prepared for any negativity, I might have quit awhile back. And even when they told me, I was like, "What?... Oh no... not my family, friends, etc." Their families must suck.. But not mine!

It's not so uncommon, as I'm starting to realize with others and their stories too. I've even heard stories of loved ones trying to sabotage them.. Now, that's extreme.. but misery sure loves company.

I am also a stay at home mother of two. A boy and a girl and soon another girl in three months.

I am currently working the online business that is listed in my signature line.
You do work from home on the internet.
There is free courses to show you how to make the money you want to make.
There is free training and no costs at all.
You can start out part-time or full-time.
It won't cost you anything to check it out and it might be what you are looking for.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Good luck.

Hello,

I am new to the group but just wanted to offer my 2 cents. Whatever you decide to do don't listen to the people who tell you that you can't.

Have a great day!

Hello there,
When considering a home business there are some key factors to consider which I feel are very important to your growth.

Company
Management Team
Product
Compensation Plan
Timing
Training & Support

Just a tidbit of info: I was introduced to my first business from a financial consultant who my husband knew. I went with my gut that he must know what he's doing and that he wouldnt steer me wrong.
Guess what: my GUT was right lol

I love working from home now, so much that I'm looking for another one to go alongside of what I'm doing now.
I am finding it much harder this time around since the security isnt there.
I will do my reseach until I feel comfortable enough to make my second choice.

Best of luck in your search
wanda
