Remember, 9 out of 10 business attempts fail, and success builds up slowly. You won't get millions of dollars the first day - or the first month. No matter what you attempt, you have to build up your product, build up advertising and name recognition, build up your network of contacts. Even if you have a head start, it is still going to take time to get everything rolling.

Yeah, they key is perseverence. If you quit, without trying new things or making small adjustments to what you are doing, you will probably NEVER make a dime online!

In addition to perseverance you really have to believe in what you're doing. If you believe you can do it and can picture yourself in the position of having done it, then you'll have gone a long way towards succeeding.

You should also recognise your limitations. Sometimes even if you work very hard, you may not succeed, due to factors you cannot control

Very well put!

When setting your work at home goals you must be realistic as to what you want to accomplish. And how much you are willing to invest in something before you realize that it's not working out.

And as pcwork pointed out the harsh reality is that sometimes no matter how hard you work at something, it may not be as rewarding as you had hoped.

But the key is to recognize that, move on and try something else! Take that work ethic and keep moving until you find something that sticks. I think that's where the "don't give up" advice would come in.

Sometimes you need to know when to "give up" on that fruitless endeavor and get going on to something else.

True. But I think it takes more than 6 months to a year to build. Maybe for establishment, but one may not be able to make big profit in 6 months. That takes much longer. For most businesses, particularly offline businesses, the first year is about establishing.

Yes, this always kills me! When people hear Network Marketing or MLM they get on the "only the people at the top make the money" routine...well, the people at the top were at the bottom once!

The CEO's of companies didnt' get there overnight! If you don't quit, you'll get there, as long as you're with a company that isn't going to tank! So your choice is important. If you want to go into something at the ground floor, have something to fall back on.

Yes, i agree. I got my 1st check only after 6 months.
Although it is a small amount, i feel quite happy about it.
I know that my business is picking up soon.
I just need to pump more fuel to it.
