Its always been content is the king on any successful website. Its amazing how people are earning for writing articles for various forums, websites, online editions etc. and this forum admin Vishal is also a good article writer, where you can found his articles in this forum. I too love to write articles, but my problem is, English is not my mother tongue. I think Vishal's mother tongue is also not English. But somehow he is so good in writing articles. I am not a Graduate. But somehow I managed to finish my secondary level education. ok, all graduates can't write good articles, its something a talent is required.
I too tried an article and posted in this forum here. But, I knew its not as good as others. I eagerly likes to improve myself on writing good articles. How can I do that? any suggestions.

Quoting: netjobs ok, all graduates can't write good articles, its something a talent is required.
Your question itself has an answer. Why do you want to learn a talent that you are not made for? I'm not discouraging you but listen, we all have something unique in us that if we recognize, life can be wonderful. Of course, with practice and learning, you can be good writer, but then, is that something you'll enjoy?
Coming to creating wealth, you can always hire writers to write for you. Did Bill Gates or Azim Premji ammased fortune by writing codes? They are entrepreneurs first and then programmers. To make fortune you need to have an entrepreneurial mindset and a knack to identify gems from the stones.

Many very successful websites like MySpace have user generated content, so article writing skills are not the only criteria to be successful

Hmmm! Interesting discussion. Here's my 2 cents... as Joe would say.
Jai, the subject of your post is the question: "How to Write an Article?" After reading it I came away with two parts to that question:
1. How to write an article in general?
2. How can Jai in particular, upgrade his English skills to a write better article?
I'll address the second question first because I think that's the key.
You may already know more about how to write an article than you think, but communicating your thoughts and ideas clearly in a non-native language is the challenge.
One way to overcome that is to read articles by writers you admire. Observe how they express their ideas and structure the language. Make a note of phrases and statements that impress you. Eventually you'll accumulate patterns that you can experiment with and adapt to your own use.
Of course nothing beats knowing and understanding the rules of English grammar. Find a friend or mentor whose verbal and written English is superior to yours, and ask for their help. Then practise what you learn.
The bottom line here is this:
If you want to write better articles in English, you'll first have to work on understanding the gramatical structure and syntax of the language. Get that out of the way (it doesn't have to take you that long) and you'll be surprised at the improvement you'll make.
As far as the first question -- How to write an article in general? -- there are scores of places online where you can access tutorials that explain the various strategies of article writing. Simply type "article writing tutorials" (with quotation marks) into the Google or Yahoo search box and you'll have a variety of resources at your fingertips.
It's unfortunate that society tends to dismiss anyone who is less than proficient in the native language of the land, and is often in a hurry to extend that bias to the person's intellect. That can be a mistake because the two elements don't necessarily go hand in hand.
What I personally admire about you Jai, is your spirit and the courage to write, in spite of the language handicap. Any forward-thinking person will look past that deficiency to the substance of your communication.
Obviously Vishal is such a person, as evidenced by his granting you Preferred Member status. That honor is EARNED through the quality of one's contributions to this forum, and not for the number of posts, perfect spelling or eloquent form.
So my friend, as you continue to strive for improvement, compete with yourself and no other. At the end of the day when the battle is lost or won, you'll have only yourself to reprimand or congratulate.
Hermas

After having a fresh look at my post above, I must admit it must not have been taken in good spirit. And my sincere apologies to you Jai for my bluntness if you like to call that, although my intention was not at all to hurt your sentiments. Sometimes I just get carried away and in a medium like this where there tone of the message is left on the mercy of the reader, one must be very careful while expressing his views. I have learnt a good lesson here.
Once again, regarding writing articles, I would like to offer a tip. Articles need not be like essays, which is difficult to write even for those with good command over english. Most beginners make this mistake when starting out and when they see no success, they give up. Focus instead on writing tips articles. You see, 10 ways to get sleep, 10 tips to work smarter, ... Such articles are very easy to write as the emphasis is more on the tips than the language.
Once you are comfortable with the tips style, you can slowly expand each of the tips to short paragraphs. The key is practice. The more you practice, the easier it'll be for you to write the next article.

Thank you Hermas and Vishal for the kind advice. One thing I clearly understand to develop my skills on writing artciles is to get interact with peoples like chatting, discussions etc. In my circle area most of the people speaking on their mother tongue only (nature one) and when I looks people who speaks good english and eventually trying to make some discussions with them on some topics and another good point you made to keep reading good articles and should capture some good words to remind. After that the practice and practice could make better ways to improve a lot more.
As per on the practice, on my first move, currently running a blog and trying to write some posts daily and I hope this could help me to improve better way.
