I have a blog and I have written an ezine article. My article of course links to my blog. My article has been viewed 189 times today. How do I know how many times my site has been viewed or where it ranks in google. I have not made a sale out of all of those views though. Any advice?
Ladies feel free to just check out my blog, its still under a little construction and I could use some feedback about it. It was a challenge for me.

Which blog site are you using? If you are using Wordpress then your stats will show at the bottom of the page.
If you are using something else, then there should be somewhere you can view your stats once you are logged in.

Hi Robin,
You either need to look at your stats program if it came with your hosting or you need to install tracking code on your site.

It seems like you didn't have any tracking code for your blog.
It is a big mistake for it as you don't know if people are coming to your blog.
You are using blogspot for your blog, then you can make use of Google analytic to do your tracking. Just copy and paste the tracking in your template and you are done.
If you have any question, you can pm me.

I see you are using blogger. Just go to www.statcounter.com and register - it's a free site. Then follow the steps and it will give you a code which you will then insert into an html gadget on your blog.
It is really simple to use and the beauty of it is that you can see who visits your site, where they come from, how long they stayed... all kinds of stuff that will help you tweak your site and by the way, 189 hits in one day is pretty good!

Hi Robin,
I agree with M5 - if you are using a free blog, start out with
http://www.statcounter.com/
Early in the game it's best to keep it simple.
Squidoo has a simple dashboard that also tracks visitor search phrases. You might create a lens and goof around with the dashboard. It's a great way to get used to stats capability.
Furthermore you can link from your lens to your blog and/or from your blog to your lens. This helps with funneling visitors to the most desired destination and helps with a Page Rank boost.

robinincarolina I use to have a blog from blogger and from everything that I tried I can tell you that definitely google analytic works very well with blogger. Analytic from google will give you every detail you can imagine about website traffic.
I will like to make a small and honest suggestion. I took the time and I went to your blog and let me tell you you have some interesting tips, but if I was you I will change the colors for something more easy on the eyes. After reading a little bit I dint have a choice than to leave the site, my eyes were started to hurt with the bright colors.
Please I'm not trying to criticize your blog the content is good but from a costumer point of view they will not stay for too long. This will probably hurt the conversion if you trying to sell something.
Go install the tracking code from google and change the template and color for something with black fonts on white back ground. Also Time New Roman fonts are easy to read and flow better.
I hope this honest review helps!

The stats tell the referring URL and how many views that post had. You can track where it came from at the very least.
189 views will not always result in sales however. Not saying that it can not or will not. It depends on the content really. I receive thousands of views per week on my website and I see results. Positive results. But I keep my expectations in relation to the effort I put into it.

189 hits... pretty nice,
I have a question, is ezinearitcles.com the only site you can publish
your article to google or yahoo?
I have been using goarticles.com since ezine is very strict ruled for
Article submission, I have never seen articles from goarticles.com
on google results.. Should I use ezine for google submission?
Any one got answer for this????
I hope I can get hit 200 day someday~
Happy day~^^

When I start web sites I like to own my own domain and host it on one of my 8 IP addresses. I stopped using services like Blogger.com and WordPress.org because they can shut you down in a heart beat.
My hosting accounts use cPanel where I use AWSTATS to follow the progress of my blogs and web sites.
I can see how many people visit my sites and how many of those are unique. I can see how often the search engine spiders and bots visit my sites.
I see where they went on my sites and how long they stayed.
You control panel gives so much information.
