I am new to this forum and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to get started making a little extra money on line? The virtual assistant at home companies are not an option due to the background checks. I Am not looking for the get rich quick just a little xtra while I learn.

Hi Michael,
There are lot of opportunities out there. It really depends on what exactly you are looking for.
What i did was, did a little research online before i got started.
Step 1: Take a 30 day challenge
Step 2: Create your own website. If you can invest some money SBI & Hostgator are excellent hosting sites. If you want something for free Weebly is always there for you. You can visit my website to learn more about them. 
Step 3: Learn affiliate marketing. Clickbank is a good site to start with where you will find thousands of products.
Step4: Link the Affiliate products your website.

Hi Michael,
I got your note and sent you a reply. Something I didn't mention there but that may be helpful if you aren't interested in building a website business, is to write some freelance articles for other people for a set fee.
There are places where you can bid on these projects like oDesk.com, getafreelancer.com, elance.com, etc.
Another option is Amazon's Mechanical Turk. You just sign up and perform set tasks for a pre-arranged fee (usually small amounts, but they add up).
I would definitely recommend SBI as the first and best option as I mentioned in my letter of reply to you, but this is something that will generate a little start up cash if you need it.

Hey mate its a long journey. You need to pitch in a lot and scale up. Start up with learning the basics of internet marketing. May be take up with Google Adsense. Take up this task and document and lets see how it goes....

I heartily agree with Angie on SBI... If you can swing the investment, it is absolutely one of the best ways to learn all about things like affiliate marketing, how to build a website that gets found on google... ( without having to know all about html, seo, and all that stuff) how to make money with adsense, etc...
Plus, Angie is an awesome coach...

Welcome to the forum.
If you are serious of learning making money online using free marketing method, I would suggest bum marketing. Sign up for Travis's bum marketing course and you will get the chance to learn step by step on how to promote clickbank or other affiliate network's products without having to spend money.

Welcome, I agree garygoh Bum marketing is a great way to get started and it walks you though the hole process. Most of what is show is little or no cost.

Hi Michael,
There are many ways to make a little extra money online, some harder than others. I have had success in various ways like affiliate marketing, video marketing, surveys, blogging, bum marketing... to name a few.
If you want to make money quick I suggest either bum marketing or paid surveys because you can start those right away and make money even today. Bum marketing might/might not work for you right away, but it's so easy to do. Just write a 300 word article and send traffic to you affiliate offers. I recommend Ezine Articles for this.
Paid Surveys are great because all you need to do is sign up for various companies, do surveys for companies and get paid. I would almost bet my left eye that everyone can do that  . I made $1800 last month on paid surveys alone, which I am very happy with (a new record for me).
Whatever you choose, just take action, do some work each day, doesn't have to be a lot. Maybe an hour or so and you are on your way!
