Hi everyone, I'm 42yrs old and stay in South Africa. The last two years of my life have not been the most pleasant. Ive worked since I was 19 years of age. Have been divorced once and have remarried. Opened a spice shop two years ago in order to spent more time with my kids. I have three children, my oldest two have a genetic illness, and are both in wheelchairs. Last year November I had to close the shop down. and since then have being searching the net in order to make money. I currently have NO (ZIPPO) income.
I have a choice to try and go back to work, and leave my kids, again, with someone else to look after, or start making an income from home.
Ive joint several programmes with no luck. Lost money (the bit I had), and are more confused than ever. My husband are very skeptical, he says you can only make money through hard work, 8 hours a day.
I'm at breakpoint at this stage and am about to loose my property. I've lost all my life insurance policies, everyday I'm getting phonecalls of debtcollectors who wants to sue me.
Please if anyone can give me guidance, help or advice, where to start, with little or no money. It would be greatly appreciated.
Ive read once ' Sympathy is no substitute for action" I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm looking for action, I need to make this work, for my children's sake. They need me, we are living on borrowed time, and I have to make their lives as comfortable and happy as possible.
I will really be more than thankful for any help I can get.

Hello,
I really sympathize, regardless, it must be an awful situation.
I am not even really able to help you much at all either, the only thing I can think of that a) is free and b) will get you at least a little money to be going on with is Project Payday. I have not tried it but if you go on YouTube there are videos explaining that it works by giving your email address to companies by signing up to their free offers, and they pay you. Some of them say you can make $100 on the first day. It might be something to look into.
I am sure there will come along people more knowledgeable than me who will help you get something underway.

Hi Kartyne - my heart goes out to you. I know you don't want sympathy at this point, but I can't help myself! I send a prayer upward for you guys...
Now as far as making money online - yes, it is very possible but it does not happen overnight and probably not fast enough to keep you from losing your property.
I am NOT trying to discourage you - just trying to help you, okay? 
What I would encourage you to do is do both - get a job for immediate income and work on learning the ways of internet marketing for long term and to help you change all that...
Will you have to burn the candles at both ends? Yep, for awhile!
I just don't want to see you grapple at every 'get rich quick' scam available hoping to strike it rich quickly as it probably will not happen. 
(edited to tell you that most of us are not going to promote any certain program or opportunity as there are so many options available for you... and that is in your court to try to do some research - but absolutely feel free to bounce back here with questions about stuff you are researching and we will do our best to help you sort it out... okay)

It will take time to learn how to make money online and there are many ways to do so. You should do your research so you can determine which way is best for you. A lot depends on how much time you have available to pursue it. For me there's been a lot of work and time involved, but will be worth it in the end. Good luck.

Hi Katryne,
Sorry about your troubles. I hope that you are able to pull through and I'm glad that you came to this forum to seek guidance.
As Mountain pointed out, you should consider both an avenue for generating an immediate income and starting your own online business for a future income and to have more freedom.
To generate immediate income, you'll have to either get a regular job - either full time or part time - and you might consider freelancing.
Though starting your own online business is a great idea and I suggest that you at least do that on the side, it won't generate income fast enough to pay the bills. It takes quite a while and requires hard study and daily hard work. The results come later.
To find freelancing jobs, just Google the phrase "freelance jobs" or similar. You can also check out sites like elance.com to see if you have the skills to bid on jobs there.
Whatever should happen, best of luck and feel free to post your questions here.

I hope this helps... When all seems to great to handle sit back and think about what people have done in the past. For instance, gardening used to have a lot of significance for people but less and less in today's world. In fact, gardening is a way to 'dig up money' in our own back yard though it may not serve all our needs. There are vegetable seeds thrown away every day when they could be used for great things. In the case of poor soil conditions remember that vegetable cuttings make great fertilizer. Also, toothpaste is not needed because a baking soda and salt mixture is better, and etc.

Thank you for your reply. I realise that I need to take desparate action, and have already called some agencies to sign for temp work. Where is the best place to start learning on building websites, blogs, etc. This morning I signed up with Paydotcom as an affiliate? What are your feelings about them?

Hi Katryne,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as well. There are many people in various precarious positions at this point.
You have been given good advice from those who have responded to you. Making money on the internet does not happen quickly...not at all.
To learn more about the aspects of marketing you can use the other parts of this forum like network marketing and a few other threads where people ask these types of questions.
You can also Google "business forums" or something to that effect to give you different voices from different people. Most forums will have some experts who frequent them and are happy to give advice. Personally, I received most of my training through forums.
Don't jump into any program without researching people's opinions and make sure you visit a few forums where you can get honest or at least varied opinions.

One free course I would suggest you use to learn some things about internet marketing is at www.thirtydaychallege.com - it is free, it will not cost you anything. Another good site that is free is Affiliate Masters Course. Do one of these at a time. I have been studying for 5-1/2 months and just made my first $40.

Thanks for this info. I have seen the www.thirtydaychallenge.com. I thought it is just another internet business. I have signed up for this course to learn the internet marketing knowledge.
It is good to learn more.
