Hi.. Im new here. I'm a university student trying to find a way to pay my school fees.
Here's the question, For example, http://www.homejobsinuk.com/ is from UK, so can I do this job if I'm from Malaysia? Or its just for people in UK?
I found quite a lot of 'work at home' website but most of them are scams. I'm not sure where and how to start a 'work at home' job. Any recomendation for a student?
Please help.. Thanks

First of all - welcome and boy, do I wish I had found this stuff at your age.
I actually do not have an answer for you on the UK question but it is absolutely possible to make some money online.
Quite a few people on the forums here do affiliate marketing of some sort and a lot of us have links to information on affiliate marketing or blogging, etc, in our sigs so if you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask and remember that there are no dumb questions in this game!
We ALL had to start somewhere!

I'm not familiar with that particular site. It would probably be a good idea to contact them directly and ask if you are eligible from your location.
Taking a look at the site, I don't know if it will be very helpful. It seems it has a wide range of information, some reliable and some not so reliable. It would hard for a beginner to be able to tell the difference.
If you are just looking for a "job" rather than starting an internet business, you may be better off looking for projects that you can complete at sites like getafreelancer.com or elance.com or rentacoder.com, etc.
You write English well, so you can probably write articles for people if you think that would interest you. You can just place bids for jobs that you would like to do.
It may be time consuming at first, but once you get into a routine, you can probably write several articles per hour and make decent money.
If time permits, I recommend you eventually look into building your own online business so that you'll have it when you finish University along with a steady, ever growing, income. It doesn't make good money in the beginning (usually), but it certainly pays well in the long run.
Hope that helps. All the best to you! Angie

Hi there wil047
First I would like to echo mountainmom5 " do I wish I had found this stuff at your age". Having said that, we can share our stories to you for your success with online ventures.
It's good that you were able to spot the scam work at home websites. There are some real pros out there that do just that, take your money.
You must ask yourself how much time you have to devote to your new online biz. Second, what exactly must you do to become successful in that new online biz.
There are 3 roadblock people face when venturing an online business. Selling, recruiting/sponsoring others, and advertising. This goes back to how much time do you have outside of studies. Also do you really want to ask your friends to buy this n- that?
Also one thing to keep in mind is, if you have a problem can you pick up the phone and call the owner or email them and have a response within 24 hours. Is there a guarantee and most important, do read the terms and conditions. Oftentimes, people omit that section of the website.

Thanks very much for the advices. You all are really very kind. Regarding the online business, what do I need to start 1? Is there any step by step tutorials can be found in the internet? All I found are those E-books that teaches some secret of online marketing bla bla bla...
Or is there any other things that I can do online that pays well in the long run other than online business?
Thanks Wil047

One of the best places to begin is doing the 30 Day Challenge it's free and you can learn basics of affilite/internet marketing from a guy who knows his stuff. BTW, don't let the free part fool you it's quality teaching better than a lot of the guru stuff you have to pay for. Sonni

Hi Wil,
There are different ways to start an online business, as well as different types of online marketing. There are no real "secrets," that's just a marketing gimmick used regularly to entice people to buy.
In fact, whatever method of online marketing or online business you decide to go with, IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK. That's probably the real secret that those promoting get rich quick don't want to get out.
Personally, I think the the best way to build an online business is by building your own website based around a particular theme or topic that you are interested in or knowledgeable about.
Yes, there are step by step tutorials that can help you to do that in the right way. Building a website isn't enough. You need to build it right in order to get free search engine traffic.
Once you have your website established, you make money from a variety of ways that YOU choose.
- You can collect income from Google by placing Adsense ads on your site.
- You can recommend other people's products (affiliate marketing) and earn a commission.
- You can promote direct marketing (MLM) products and earn a commission, while trying to build a downline.
- You can sell your own products (hardgoods or digital products like eboks).
- You can offer a service.
That's why I prefer this method of business building. The website you build and the traffic is YOURS. You can monetize however you please and it can evolve as your business grows into whatever you decide suits your niche or personal direction.
If that sounds like something that would interest you, read the Affiliate Masters Course in the free E-book section of my site. It will give you a general step by step guideline to a better understanding of the process involved.
If you like, you can send me a pm and I'll give you a link to the written and video Action Guide that I use to build my sites and business.
Blessings, Angie

Hi Wil047,
The 30 Day Challenge is a free beginner's overview of some of the key elements of online marketing plus a few additional tips. It's a great place to start if you are interested in making money online.
Here's the link:
www.thirtydaychallenge.com
If you find that you are interested after viewing the free course, you might consider talking to Angie about SBI or exploring some other avenues. We'd be happy to offer additional guidance.

To send a pm, first you have to be logged in. Once you're logged in, you'll notice next to each post on the left the users 'name,' date they joined, etc. There's a little envelope icon next to each user name. That's what you click if you want to send that particular user a private message.
To check your own private messages, there is a link at the very top of the page (after you've logged in) that says private messages. Just click on that and it will take you to your private messages section.
I will send you the link you requested.
Blessings, Angie
