I have always found it interesting when people say things like, "I am not going to pay money to work at home." I do agree to some extent; be careful who you pay and what you pay for; especially on the internet.

For ten years though I worked for a bank and was continually promoted. Why, because the work I was doing was making them a lot of money. They showed their appreciation by giving me a cost of living raise every year.

It made me realized something: Everyone I know or know of that is wealthy, either owns their own business or inherited their wealth from someone who did own their own business.

When I started looking into working from home, I refused to work for a paycheck while building long term wealth for someone else.

Thankfully, there are many large corporations who realize the benefits of having independent business owners.

You are not paying to work at home; you are either buying a business (in part or full) or the tools to operate a business.

I would just like to say i totally agree with you Holly, i would not be working from home and earning what i do if i had not parted with the money i had to invest to get my business up and running in the first instance.

I think it is very difficult to get the help and the business you want for free! I tried many small fee or free business opportunities and made nothing back but i suppose not everything works for everyone.

I totally agree Holly there is nothing worse than working your socks off and someone else reeping the rewards ( i done that for years ) but working for yourself is awesome you know that all the time and effort you are putting in is for your own benefit and that drives you on to achieve greater things.

I have to admit i started online with not much capital and built up from there so my start up cost was very small which makes it all the better.

Yep...I worked as a loan officer for almost 9 years and NEVER made near as much as I do working for myself right from home.

Definatley worth the start up funds and reinvesting back into!

What you say is true, at a job, you always make money for the owner of the business.

Hi,

It is not what it seems... There are plenty of other resources over the internet where you can earn a healthy income, you just need to find the right business opportunity thats it....

I agree,
if you are doing a job then you are actually selling your skills. I feel if you use that skills for your self you will definitely make more money than you are earning at your job.

Congratulations! You have learned how the rich get rich!
It's a little thing called LEVERAGE!
So, here's how it works to earn full-time pay for part-time work. Earlier I mentioned leverage...how the rich get rich. There are three ways to leverage yourself...either with a talent, money or time. Here's what I mean. Take movie stars, singers or authors. They do the work once and get paid over and over off of royalties. If you have money to invest, then your money is working for you and it's multiplying without you directly spending your time for it to do so. But what if you can't sing, act or write...or don't have millions laying around to invest in something? That leaves you with leveraging your time. See, at the job you have now, if you work 40 hours then you get paid for 40 hours. If you don't work, you don't get paid. You are not leverage your time...you're leveraging your bosses time. With a home business...where you're the boss, you can leverage your time with the time, energy and skill of others.

For example, if you work an hour a week on your business and have say, 39 people in business with you that are also working an hour a week on their business. You income is now based on 40 hours a week and you only had to work one. What a great concept...and it's a win-win for everyone!
Way to go Holly! Great post thanks!!!
Tracy

You also have to remember that everyone has to start somewhere. When it comes to an online business you can definatley start your business with little investment and expand with the more money that you make.

The reality is people have to realize the difference between a work at home job in which you are working for someone else and a work from home business. People always complain about having to spend money to work from home, but if you are starting a business from home then it is going to take a start up cost. There is no business in the world that does not take some money in order to get started. We must also remember that as in any business venture it takes a lot of work to get started and to actually see profits. There is also the chance that the business may fail and you will have to try something new. In order to become successful you must be willing to put the work in that is necessary in order to see profitable gain.
