My website on google was plastered at #13 on the first day of it being live, then the next day it dropped all the way to #81 and has gone to #110 yesterday. Google has only cached data once on the 24th. The website was live on the 23rd. It has been exactly one week since its been up.
What are the chances of my site coming back to number #13 or higher? I update my site regularrly every 2 days with fresh content, I have 3 web 2.0 platforms which get updated every 2 days with backlinks to my site. I write 4 articles per week linking back to my website.
What am i doing wrong? Oh, and I do bookmark this socially to about 7 or 8 different sites.
What can I be doing differently or better to increase my web ranking?
I am also doing about 5-10 backlinks a day on forums and squidoo sites and hubpages. I dont no what i am missing?

What do you mean?
I mean I am ranking at these positions for my keyword for which I have optimized my pages etc. And the keyword phrase is my niche. Does that help?

The Google Sandbox refers to a filter (real or imagined, depending on who you talk to) that is ostensibly set up to regulate/discourage the quick rise of spam-related sites that may purchase links on a large scale in order to secure a high ranking right out of the gate.
You can liken the sandbox effect to a holding pen one may be held in under police custody, until one sees a judge, speaks with a lawyer, is charged with a crime, or is released without penalty. 
A more positive comparison would be to view the sandbox as you would the probationary period a new employee must complete before being granted full employee status with accompanying benefits.

When you get sandboxed does your site disappear completely? Or is it like the google dance where it dances over here over there etc?

Some queries as to your SEO approach thus far, if you please:
Have you used all three forms of google submission Sahota7?
Does your site use frames?
Have you used the title, description and keyword tags?
Do you have a site map?
Are your articles tagged and KW or KW phrase targeted (3-5% KW composition is the rule-of-thumb -- let me know if you need more tips on this)?
Are you using subtitles (even printed books have subtitles these day for the express purpose of coming up more in search engines)?
Does your domain name include the predominant KW/KW phrase you are targeting and is registered for more than one year?

Yep I have used my keyword at a good density nd have worked it out to be within 3-5% so thats ok...
What do you mean by a sitemap? (sorry im ultra new!)
My articles are keyword targeted
Subtitles? Also not sure what u mean by this one
My domain has the keyword phrase in it. It has been registred for a year at hostgator and auto re-bills for another year every year. It brand new website though, only launched it on the 23rd of september. However google cache dat was 24th and has not updated. What does this mean?

Frames refers to a web design technology that displays more than one web page on your screen at the same time. The design structure makes it difficult for spiders to index your pages properly.

As the name implies, a sitemap is a map of your website. It could be presented as a single page which lists all the pages on a site as links. For big sites it is a convenient way for visitors to get directly to the page they want without having to navigate through the site.

I believe sashawk was referencing article marketing and the importance of using sub titles/sub headings in the body of your articles to highlight sections. In addition to the main title of the article, and sprinkling keywords throughout, sub titles give you another opportunity to use relevant keywords/keyphrases that could be used in a search. The technique can help you get traffic.

Hi Kim,
Are you referring to starting an online bookkeeping service or just a home business that doesn't include the internet?
If you want to take it online, you really need your own website to advertise your business so you will be found by the search engines. Many service oriented business have leveraged the power of the internet to build or increase their client base.
