I was wondering, how to you promote sites like insurance companies?
I was thinking of creating a websites on this because everyone need help and the right advice. Would this be a good niche to get into?

The insurance industry is a highly competitive market. Not to say that you could not do well, but you will be up against many marketing experts.
Pay per click advertising in the insurance world is one of the most expensive markets. If you decide to pursue this you may want to stick with free marketing using blogs and articles. You can drive traffic to your site with these resources for free.
If you can come up with a fantastic blog or article about current news or events in the insurance world, you stand a good chance of being getting some attention and major traffic. Do some searches and see what others are doing before you decide.

Steve answered your questions well. To that I would add that you promote it in the same way you would with any site.
You can break into any industry and do well provided you know your subject.
It may be ill-advised to go head-to-head on the general, most competitive search phrases. You might do better if you drill way down into the long tails (sub topics) of a competitive niche such as insurance.
In fact, pick an area of insurance (car insurance, life insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, etc) and then drill way down into that. Specialize in a small piece a ways down the pyramid.
But before you think about choosing a niche, it sounds to me like you would be better served if you spent a few months studying the basics of online marketing. Put the horse before the cart.

I read a massive article saying that going into high demand products/services is the best option, due to the amount of traffic on the internet, even if u can get a fraction of it you can make good money? Is this true? what do u guys think? Im still only starting out, but I thought going for the market with most custmers means greater success due to larger amounts of buyers. And to get these buyrs just use longer keywords and variations instead of dominated keywords, am i right? I am confused on how to no what product to get into, so help would be appreciated.

If you are very experienced in this field then then it could be profitable. But you would be competing with huge corporations. Try going to the Google keyword tool and look to see if there are many keywords/phrases that have good search volume but low advertising competition. This will be a good thumbs up as to whether or not you should go with it.

There are a few steve, I personally am using Google Keyword Tool (type this into google to use it, it's free!) ..
There are others too! Googles tool allows u to check out the search volume, the advertising and a few other useful bits of information.

First think what expertise you have. Do you have a passion for it? Only after that, you can find your niche where you can provide some unique service and attract traffic.

I think this is a great way to start out on the web. Just talk about what you know about the industry. This will give you some experience. Bring it up in google page ranks. (not sure how to do that quite yet)
After that you can start advertising on there. Make some extra money every month. Have 10 of these websites and hey it's a new part-time job. After awhile it can pay what your full-time job pays now.

I don't know much about the insurance business. But it does seem that the competition would be stiff as others have stated. Affiliate marketing is what has worked for me. That might be something that you want to consider.

Hi Steve72,
If insurance companies is what you are interested in then you should run with it. Do your research about your product, build your website then drive people to your site. The MOST important aspect of this is driving people to your site. This is done in many ways that don't cost you a dime. You can write an article about your product with links back to your site and put it up on several web 2.0 sites that are free. Google loves these sites and that will increase your ranking on search engines with little effort.
Create a system. Outsourcing can be done relatively inexpensively so you don't have to do everything.
You need to do what's good for Steve. So if insurance companies is your niche I say go for it.
