RO, That's how it was explained in training and I thought I had it figured out. What threw me is in the webinar the trainer said not to do that anymore to just click on websites and open them or something like that. As long as the cntl+N still works I think I can figure it out. Thanks for the help.

RO,
How is everything going for you? I promised I'd let you know when I got my first Verafast check and I just got it today. It was $52 for 7 hours of work. Not too shabby for sitting in my bedroom in my jammies! The first week you have to work 7 hours to get the good job and volume bonuses, and 15 hours a week after that. (Sadly, I haven't been able to log 15 hours a week yet with working my waitressing job and training for west VMU.) Every day they send out an email letting you know how many credits you got for the previous day. So far I'm averaging between $5 and $9 an hour just with the credits, so I'm happy. The work is very easy, if not exciting. I am looking forward to gaining a larger variety of calls. Have you started with Verafast yet? I'm in the process of scheduling my webinar with west. I'm nervous to start, there seemed to be so much info in the training. I'm sure that once I do a couple calls it will all fall into place. It's always more clear after you actually do it, I think. Keep my posted on how things are going for you!

RO,
I forgot to mention that you do get paid weekly, but the pay is one week behind just like normal jobs. Good luck!

RO,
Thanks! It looks like a good skill to start off with. I'm so glad I didn't have to take the dreaded DR skill! Good luck to you at Arise!

Hi Steph! I'll be doing the VM activations. I've been nervous (I always am with something new until I actually begin doing it myself). I stressed out big time over the training but did very well on the test and didn't need even a quarter of the notes I had taken! LOL I do have a couple questions. Is it difficult to remember where you are when toggling back and forth between the two applications? Do the scripts load automatically or do you need to manually pull up the call flow? Thanks!!

I just had my phone interview with WestAt & am waiting to hear back from Verafast. Are you still with them both, & how do you like it? I desperately want to work from home. I also applied for West At Home in Feb, but haven't heard from them yet either. Any info will be appreciated.

Bookwurmee,
When you do the webinar the pal will show you the easy way to have the call flow up and seibel. You will have to make both applications smaller to keep them side to side because that will make it easier. Also, once you take more and more calls you will remember this activation call flow from beginning to end. Believe me because I have. I have been monitored and where it states did agent follow activation call flow they stated yes. You eventually remember the flow and will not need to toggle so much between the screens. When you first log on for your shift siebel will automatically load up but you will have to bring up the call flow. Dont stress the small stuff. You will do fine.

Hi Steph,
Thanks for the encouraging words! Where will I pull up the call flow? They keep saying that the applications will be loaded differently than in training, but they don't really say much about how to access them. It will be obvious, I guess? I did a webinar last evening but my training page is still prompting me to schedule a webinar. Is that normal? I just can't wait until I get my first shift over with so I can see everything in action like it's supposed to be. Thanks again!

Hi Bookwurmee,
You will be able to pull up activation call flow from your ade which you would just click on activation call flow and it will bring it up (which is fast and easier) or you can also pick it up from Oracle also. Remember, there is live chat. place any questions there during your shift and they will assist you. Dont stress it, you will do fine. reply to me privately and I will give you my personal contact information and you can either email me or call me. I will help you thru your first shifts until you feel comfortable with it. do not give up because this is a great skill and can bring in decent money. One more quest

cathande, i am currently only working for WestAt. I tried verafast and it was "interesting" but not exciting. Also, they want u to give them a dedicated schedule and i couldn't do that since i work a full time job outside of home. Also, their training is not TRAINING. It's printing info that is Greek until you actually sign on. It's good to know the info and read over it but until you do it, then you just don't know. It's simple though. Now WestAt is a different story. Loved Loved Loved the training. The people are nice. The pay is GOOD. Work is easy and interesting. Good luck to you.

I work for West and I am curious, what is West AT? I mean what exactly do you do? Is it incoming calls or do you call people? If you are calling people, how does the pay work? are you paid per talk time, per survey, or per hour? basically I know nothing about it but I am interested in anything that doesn't require selling anything. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Vicky

ndpndnt1, I tried to reply to your PM, sorry it took me so long but I haven't checked the inbox, but it wouldn't let me send it for some reason. I'm not sure how I feel about Verafast right now, so I'll work out the next few weeks and see what happens. I'm really excited to start with West, I think it will be very interesting, and I LOVE the way they do scheduling. Good luck to you!!!

Thanks for the info. I'm in the paperwork stages of both. Haven't started training yet. I don't work outside, so scheduling shouldn't be a problem unless I can't work the two around each other. Is the pay not so good with Verafast? I'm nervous about both, & I did apply for West At Home, but haven't heard back. I'm trying to work strictly from home, but don't know if I can make enough. Do you ever need to print while online? My new printer knocks the internet offline for some reason, haven't figured out why. It's my understanding that WestAt is calling asking survey type questions. Like I said, haven't started yet.

I have a question for those of you that work for West. When you place a caller on hold do they hear like company ads and stuff or is it just silence? the reason I ask is sometimes when I need them to hold for just a moment, like when I need to ask a pal a question through chat, I will just mute my mike instead of putting them on hold. But then it occurred to me that if they were monitoring that call it would be 30 sec or more or silence.

taybrismommy: Does anyone work EQE and has been able to pin point a timeframe of when they actually post shifts? I used to know Wed AM would post Thu-Sun but I haven't seen that in weeks. Above is a qoute from one of your previous posts. Have you or anyone heard anything about this?
Reply Welcome and if you don't want to reply on the forum, you can email or IM me at [email protected]

Vagabond,
Actually if you feel that the hold would be short then use the mute cause that takes less of your pay per min rate....just use discretion that's is what I do. RO

Really? You mean your pay rate goes down when they are on hold? I never knew that.

cathande,
The pay is good with Verafast. I was averaging between $5 and $9 an hour just in credits. I quit because I just couldn't log 15 hours since I work part time as a waitress and I've been training with West. They say if you work 15 hours a week you'll make $150-$200 dollars because of bonuses, and I'm sure it's true because I was happy with the money I made just on credits for the few hours each week I could work. As someone else said, the work is not exciting, but it is very easy. Best wishes!

Thanks for the info. I've run into printer problems, so I haven't been able to get my paperwork back in. I let them know in case they strictly adhere to their 7 day time limit & I can't make it. WestAt is being very understanding about it, I hope both will continue to be.

Cathande,
Try your local library for computer usage. You should be able to access the paperwork and print it out there. Good luck!

It doesn't take down the pay rate. You are paid by the minute, or the area minimum wage, whichever is greater.
