OK, question, at the end of every training module they have the box that tells you to call to set up a webinar, so far everyone of them really doesn't want you to call, they send a list of webinars to sign up for. Is shop NBC like this, or do I have to call to schedule it? Please let me know, any of you who are taking the webinar as I just finished training. P.S. I think I might like this skill, but don't hold me to that, I haven't done it yet.

While I'm asking questions, RO, did you say you were training to be a medical trascriptionist? I have thought about that in the past but always assumed you would have to be a super fast typist. I am sure, like any field it is not for everyone but if you could give me some general info to figure out if it is something I might could do I would appreciate it. Thanks

Vagabond,
You have to call them to shedule it. Pals will give you the times/dates webinar given throughout the week and you choose one. I'm scheduled to attend tomorrow at 6pm...I'll keep both of you posted after the webinar. I'll pm you tomorrow with MT details.

They didn't have that many options, I ended up with Thursday at 9pm. I hope I don't have to participate, I get so nervous at those things.

Vagabond, Khirst22, and Eber,
Ok, I took the shp nbc webinar it is relatively easy. Vagabond don't wrry no role-playing and I think we will like this line because I was told at the webinar that we are not sales we are captured order only... meaning all we do is take orders is not our job to do any upsells. Great! rebuttals are not necessary and vertabims are the only thing we would read if it populates. So, I really think we will catch on fairly quickly. Any other ?ss I've might of not answer shoot! OH and Vagabond the webinar took longer that I had expected (chaos here) I am in the middle of packing because I'm moving to a house this weekend coming up! I promise though as soon as I get a chance beginning this week I will pm you we thorough details on the MT course I just started k.

Ro,
Thanks for the update. I am scheduled at 9:00am today. Wish me luck and keep us posted on your first day of work. Congrats, on your new house. Maybe once you get settled we can talk personally. Let me know when everything is out of the boxes and on the shelves, lol so we can talk on the phone.

I just wanted to let you know that the shopnbc webinar went great. It lasted about 1 1/2. Basically, Ray the monitor just talked. So, don't get nervous. It takes 5 to 7 days to get our access code to begin working.

Deb34,
Thank you so much for your support I will take up on your offer. Once I get situated (in the process of moving this weekend). I will be emailing others who came forward and are willing to give there info as well. I posted the same at work place like home (another forum) and hit the jackpot with other agents that work from home for Voicelog that are also willing to join me on my mission lol I call myself the whistle blower lol anyway, the time is coming soon and not only will that form go out but I'm organizing paperwork to expedite the process with IRS. I will keep in touch and will let you know when I will be needing your info.
Thanks so much, If there's any advice you need shoot! I'm here! I really appreciate you coming out. The more the merrier and higher chances of bringing this Company down.

Shop nbc is already sending me evening hours to work. Unfortunately, I can only work morning and afternoons and maybe some weekends. I sure hope they have these times open for me. But I thought we were suppose to wait for an access code to begin working. I am a little confused!

Khirst22,
The skill goes on active status after 24hrs from taking the webinar. However, do not post your schedule as of yet because you need your logins. One thing has nothing to do with the other...hope this helps. I can also view hrs avail on spectrum but cannot schedule cause I'm still waiting for my logins# as well...

You mean we have to wait on special ones like with HSN? I didn't have to wait with proflowers and GE.

eber3,
Normally, WST post hrs one week in advance...I'm guessing that once you see the hrs posted for next week you will get an idea how many hrs are really posted. We have to wait for the logins otherwise, you wont be able to login into the oracle etc...

Well, crap, thats how that click thing was. Oh well, I guess I'm not in a hurry, maybe I won't forget what I'm doing by the time I get them. I would think they have a lot of hours considering I keep getting e-mails saying hurry up and finish training.

That's kind of what I thought might be the deal. I guess people snatch them up pretty quick. I have noticed some pick up hours popping up here and there today. So, worst case scenario might be able to grab extra hours by keeping an eye on that. Just hope they hurry up with the logins!

Same here! They were actually making me feel rushed during the training, I was afraid if I didn't finish quick they'd say they didn't need me for that skill anymore. I still got a hurry up email today, right after I finished the webinar no less. And I got several hours available messages as well. I was all "Gee thanks. Now give me a login so I can work them!" Lol.

According to our monitor, he stated that there are many hours with shop nbc. I guess we will just have to wait to see what hours are available. I sure hope there are alot of hrs in the morning and afternoon after all that hard training.

I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the biggest need for hours was the graveyard shift and weekends. I read the same thing about HSN and they always had hours 24 hours a day. What I have learned is all the skills have a lot of available hours right after you finish training and then they start to taper off. Most have a certain day and time that they post hours and after you work it awhile you will figure out when that is. Also, if you are doing a good job and remain in the 1 ranking after the two week period you will always have hours available to work or they will offer you a fixed schedule. I don't know how they do it but it seems to me like the top performers are offered hours first, also there are some people who sign up for almost all the hours they can get when they come out knowing they can't work them all and then either drop them or post them for trade. With the holiday season coming up there should be tons of hours for the next few months, after that you may have to check them ten times a day to make sure you get the ones you want.
