I am a SquidNewbie so forgive me if I am sharing information you are already familiar with.
I just found out about the Squidoo Buttons and Banners Wizard that makes clickable badges to promote your lenses.
http://www.squidoo.com/pages/buttons
This is an awesome way to link from your blogs and websites. Link people to your lens, to other lenses on your topic, to Squidoo, to your profile...
It's super easy to use too!

Hi Money,
Sure, that's cool. It's very easy to use and handy if you like the pre-created buttons and don't know how to code them.
If you'd like to learn to create your own from scratch and code them yourself, you can visit my lens, which is in my sig link.
Thanx for the resource

WOW,
I was always brought up to understand that you learned something new every day. This is superb info. I've got quite a few lenses now, but really wasn't sure how to promote them until now.
Thanks so much for this.
What a great forum this is.

Hi JANEHO,
Welcome to the forum. Glad you've found it helpful. If you'd like feedback on your lenses or advice, just ask. You might drop a lens addy in your sig.

Yes, I found this too. It's brilliant. Makes it so much easier to promote Squidoo. I use it in my Squidoo eCourse.

That's good advice.
I have one lens and I'm starting another but I didn't know how to get traffic there.
Thanks.

Thanks! I never knew you were that guy on Squidoo - I'd seen you before! I have a lot more lenses on my other Squidoo account. 46 and counting! I'm going for Giant Squid (but in my other niche).

I am pretty new to Squidoo too, so this is a very handy thing to know. I must try it out straight away.

Hi Michelle,
Here is a code example of a hyperlink you might place in your Squidoo lens:
<a href="http://www.yoursite.com" rel="no follow" target="_blank">My Site</a>
Be sure to replace the "yoursite.com" URL with your own and the "My Site" link text with your own.
The rel command prevents Page Rank bleed and the target command opens up a new window, thus keeping your lens window open behind the new window. You may omit one or both statements and the link will still work but I suggest that you use them.
It's similar to the BB code used in your sig except that you use greater than and less than symbols rather than square brackets.
Note: You may have to include affiliate I.D. code as well if you wish to use an affiliate link.
As an aside, if you'd like to pass Page Rank to the site you are linking to from your lens, then leave out the rel statement. If you are linking to your own site, that might be a good case in point. You probably would want to pass along some Page Rank.

Newbie Shield,
I've heard about the importance (and regulation actually) of having more than a couple of modules on a Squidoo lens. I haven't verified this with Squidoo.
What say you?
Sasha

Hi Sasha,
It's absolutely true. You won't be able to publish your lens unless you do.
