Apparently work-at-home jobs provide the best solution for cutting back on paying for high priced gas. I heard earlier in the week by word of mouth that economists expect gas prices to float around $6/gallon. With that said, do you think that more people will look to be working at home to cut back?

if they can earn enough money from home i think they will stay at home.
Oil prices will rise, that is certain.
We here in Indonesia, are suffer from this situation, many poor citizen even can't think how they supposed to feed themselves.

I definately agree that working from home can help cut back on gas, but I think people who work from home are more likely to look into work from home opportunities as a way to earn extra income rather than cut back on gas...

Yeah, people do want to get into a business opportunity so they can
make MORE money so they can drive BIGGER and more expensive
cars that burn MORE gas.

I do think that more & more people will look into starting their own home based business. Maybe, not to do full time right away, but to help with everyday expence.

Yes, either start a work at home internet marketing business, or an eBay retail store, or install one of the water to gas convertors!
I love working at home..I am gratefully sitting here in my breakfast nook (now home office)..overlooking the yard and garden...it just doesn't get better than this..unless I was in my home town in Colorado. (moving back soon)..or perhaps over looking Big Sur!
So, the gas prices do not really effect me, but I truly feel for those who have to commute!

Gas prices are ridiculous. I hope things start to change very soon or i'm going to be getting a hybrid or something.

Aspire,
Do these capsules really work? Have you tried them?

I'm finding more and more people are inquiring of the businesses I represent in hopes of generating additional income to supplement their current income, and eventually replace it.

The economy and subsequent high gas prices are forcing people to rethink their hour long commutes back and forth to work, and if it is even worth it anymore.

I don't think I could ever go back to a regular j.o.b. and am grateful for being able to work from my home office. Unfortunately, I think the economy is only going to get worse before it ever gets better. Gas is already nearly $5 a gallon in Calif, and nearly $4 a gallon in the midwest. The above poster is probably accurate in saying that we can expect to top out at $6. The sad thing is that we have the technology to manufacture VERY high MPG cars, and efficient hybrid cars that get even better gas mileage than they currently do, but the car manufacturers have bought the patents that were developed for these high MPG cars and locked them up, never to see the light again. They are in cahoots with the oil powers.

Victoria, Thank you for the reply. I too, like my home office. As I type this, I am sitting on my couch, next to my husband while he watches TV. This is the best thing since sliced bread!!

I agree. Gas prices are too high. I drive a SUV. Hemi to be exact. It's expensive to fill that bad boy up. $80 bucks every time. I'm so glad that I do not have to drive to and from work. I work from my home. The only drive time that I do, is when I take my daughter to and from school. If I don't have to go anywhere, I don't. Making money or not, I don't feel that it's wise to just blow all your gas on
needless driving.

To your massive success,
Michelle

I know so many people right now that will not return to their jobs because of the rising prices of everyday living. They want to do something else, but to try working from home, is something that they're really not thinking about. You can make so much money on the internet today than ever before. If they don't do something now, they could really hurt them selves in the long run. Jump on board I say. Look into something, but look.

To your massive success,
Michelle

I'm in Australia and fuel here is $1.56 per litre - That equates to $5.91 per gallon. With the international conversion rate, it will be about equal to US. In New Zealand it has cracked $2 per litre ($7.58 / gal)

I think everyone should be Googling Tips for changing driving habits and how to keep the car in good condition.

Wow, and we're crying about 4.19 per gallon? Oh yes we are. That is why, more & more people should start their own home business. The gas that I'm saving right now is huge. When I have to fill up my tank, it takes almost $100 us dollars. Think about that, if I had to drive to and from work day in and day out, I would be filling that up 2x's a week. $200 bucks gone in a snap. I have an SUV w/a Hemi. So, that bad boy sucks some gas. I need the SUV for the boat, but that is a lot of coin for gas. PM me. We have something in common. You live Down Under, I have a very good friend who lived there too.

To your massive success,
Michelle

Never thought of it that way but I guess I am saving in gas by working at home. I'll have to tell that to my wife when she tells me to get a job in the city.
