Hello There!
My name is Adam and I'm glad to be a new member here on the forum, so thought I’d make a quick post to introduce myself!
I may only be seventeen, but don't let my age fool you. I'm currently researching everything there is to know about this industry and making quality contacts along the way. Within the next 18-24 months, I am planning to launch my own direct-sales business(es) and make it big!
I decided to join the WAHM.com forum because I feel that it is among the few places online where many individuals are coming together to have legitimate networking and discussion when it comes to home-based business...a lot of the other forums out there are simply full of people trying to push their opportunities and hype things up...I didn’t want any of that !
So What Sparked My Interest In This Industry Anyways?
Well, simply put, I see a life in the "rat race" through the lives of my parents. My father has a Master's degree...and is working towards a PhD. He works countless hours, of research, work, and meetings. He believes that education is the only way to success in life. Education is certainly important...but what has all this "education" gotten him?
A life of financial struggle, a job where he has no true potential to progress, and a family I have had to lend money at many times to make ends meet.
Needless to say, I knew that I didn't want a life like that! That sent me searching for a better way...and I came across network marketing!
Everything about the entrepreneurial aspects, freedom and quality of life "clicked" with me, so I am determined to make it a reality. Many people tell me that I will never make it. They laugh at me, they discourage me, and they never have faith. Despite it all, I keep believing in the LORD (one other thing I should mention about myself is that I am a devoted Christian...and that rules over all aspects of my life), and I will keep believing in myself.
I plan to be a millionaire by 25. I know that it is a lofty goal, but many people have done it before me; and I know that with the drive, faith, and hard work...I can do it too!
Anyways, once again I’m glad to be here and hope to make lots of amazing contacts !
PS: Although I’d love to meet people involved in and promoting various opportunities, please don’t simply message me to advertise and push your opportunity...I’m here to make quality contacts and not just to be bombarded with sales pitches, LOL! Also, although I’m looking forward to meeting lots of the members here regardless of what business they happen to be affiliated with, I am primarily focused on getting started with a *DIRECT SALES* opportunity (Wealth Masters, Global Resorts Network, EDCGold, etc.) so that will be my primary area of discussion and focus while on these forums

Welcome to the Forum HomeBizTeen!
Since you said that you are a Christian, I thought I would suggest a good book. If you haven't read it already, check it out:
Becoming a Millionaire God's Way by Dr. C. Thomas Anderson
I wish you the best!

It is a lofty goal, Adam, but not an impossible one. If you stay focused, formulate a feasible plan and get to work, it could happen. It's really up to you!

Welcome Adam! Excellent goals. The thing I have always liked about internet marketing is it does not discriminate against anyone due to age, race, sex, income, appearance, etc.
Anyone can make money on the internet if they acquire skills and work at it. Good luck to you.

Homebizteen,
First of all I'd like to welcome you to the forums. I must say it is quite nice to see someone so focused at your age. Your post was funny to me, because I used to think just like you, and I still do. I am a few years older than you, but when I was seventeen I had the same views on working for people and schooling. I also had the same goal: to make a million dollars by the time I am 26. I have done basically every "scheme" out there and I finally found my niche, and can honestly say while i'm not very close to my goal, I still see it happening. Just keep at it, you'll go through a lot of tough times on the internet, but just remember, most brick and mortar businesses fail the first 2-3 times before even turning a profit, So keep at it and don't let obstacles deter you from your goals. Also, it's great that you're starting so young, as you probably don't have many liabilities yet..(mortgage, children, etc.). Use that to you're advantage and learn as much as you can from our mistakes and your own, and honestly my friend, best of luck to you.

Hi! I'm new too...and young, so I know how you feel! What type of product will your direct sales company produce? If that's private, you don't have to answer Anyway, hope to chat with you more!

Hi, I am new also. I am older than you, been down some rocky roads but still determined to do what I want to do. Only problem is I don't know how to go about it. I've been reading posts here for a few months and still don't have many ideas on how to get where I want to be. I have worked for a seven physician office for the past ten years in the billing department. I like my work but not so much the atmosphere that has deteriorated with each year. I was also involved in a bad auto accident five years ago which still leaves me in a lot of pain making it hard to sit at my desk eight hours at a stretch. I wish I could find some opportunities to do this from my home but have you all seen the number of "medical billing from home" scams? I don't want any part of that. I also do accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation, etc that goes along with it. Unlike yourself, I am not interested in becoming a millionare, just enough to at least keep me where I am and have a little peace and happiness. Thank you all that took the time to read this. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Greg

Hey that was really encouraging post and I love every word of that. For me I just want to live life with my close ones and want to have true fun of life ... I am not into this millionaire or billionaire race ...
Any way best of luck ... I want to see your pics on forbes.com as billionaire of 2***.
